I have the EXACT same thing- I feel like I have a broken rib or something! My DH rubs it and it feels much better

I just thought I would give an update. Now that the baby has moved down a little bit I am no longer having the pain in my ribs. Thank goodness!!! It is nice to not have that constant pain anymore :)

I had a pain just like that when I was pregnant with my son -- I still had it after he was born as well. Turned out -- I had galstones, which went untreated and caused pancreat_tis. (The galstones had been moving around when I was pregnant causing the pain, I developed the pancreat_tis after my son was born) I had to get my galbladder removed, 3 weeks after having a c-section. NOT FUN.

wow moe that's aweful!!! I'm glad mine has started to go away, so I know it was just the baby putting pressure on things! I've found that stretching and walking really help, and the tennis ball thing! I've been told that of all the back pain to have this is the best b/c it goes away after the baby drops and does not cause back labour!! as lower back pain often does and is due the baby's postion as well! Hopefully we've paid our dues and our little ones don't cause any troubles when they drop! Which for me doesn't look like anytime soon!

Hi All - I'm 39 weeks and 2 days pregnant and just started to experience the same pain everyone is describing last Thursday. My baby girl has already dropped and I'm dilated. I thought this may be signs of back labor because I also feel it in the lower back, but it's raw by the bra line. My husband has been massaging me and I've went to get acupuncture but nothing seems to help. Anyone experience this last two weeks of pregnancy?
