Hi Ladies, glad you have all been well. I have been so busy over the last few days, I am glad it is slowing down now.
Courtney, glad that you had a great baby shower and with the other one coming the ladies are probably right, family finds nothing sacred and are likely to have the bottles for you, lol. (well at least mine is that way if i dont tell my sister to cut it out she would have purchased half my baby stuff) she is excited to be the baby's godmother.
Middle names yes i have those for the girl it will be Dorry May (Dorry is the short version my brother made for my sister, her name is Dorothy and she hates it, was for her grandmothers name, funny thing is grandma hated it too, some parents!!!) and the boy will be Lucian Oscar.
Elodie shame about the stickers, I saw some yesterday when I was in the shop, there were under the sea ones and jungle ones, both very cute but I pa__sed for now, I am going through thinking that it might be a girl now...lol geeze not knowing is killing me with curiosity!!! Oh well not long to go.
I have my next appoint on friday that ought to waste an afternoon, the doctors chat too much ends up being a 2 to 3 hour wait, not my idea of an afternoon of fun.
Oh Elodie, I am not sure over in the states, but over here they usually sell near all the baby bottle stuff little caps that you can pop in the top of the bottles to stop the leaking, so I am thinking that they ought to be sold there as well, we spent half an hour looking over the shelves before we found them, and some of the bottles have them in them already.
We had a long discussion about feeding and I have decided that we will bottle feed, I have had my second b___st cancer scare and they are going to have to operate, I have papillions in one of my milk ducts which has tainted the milk on one side, had the problem on the left side 2 yrs ago, they caught it just as it started to turn, so I hope this will be done in time as well. I figure that it would be best for me to heal and regain my strength as fast as possible after the birth so that I can have the operation to have it fixed as soon as possible. I am very disappointed as I was looking forward to b___stfeeding, I really enjoyed it with Laine.

elizabear: Our stickers are the baby looney tunes one. My DH loves Taz and when he saw those he was so glad!!! So it didn't matter if we had a boy or a girl...BUT I HAD to know! I had to be able to talk to him by his name (it might sound weird but I felt that way!).
Thanks for the advice for the cap on bottle... We had a look but as for everything for babies nowadays, there is millions of products and never know what to choose from! We'll have a closer look next time!
Well, I hope you'll get your surgery ASAP. I guess in your position I'd have done the same choice. Even if everyone agrees that the best milk is Mommy's in some circ_mstances we have to make the choice not to for your health and baby's.
Wish everything is fine for everyone....

Hey Denise. Well, I am 36w1d and have I got a gymnast in my womb! She was in a perfect head down position at 34 weeks, but she's changed her mind again. Last Saturday she got comfy in a transverse position. I'm not getting too upset though because knowing her, she'll probably change position again. I am officially scheduled to have an amnio done on February 19 to check for lung maturity. I will be 38 weeks exactly. If the results come back that she is ready, I am scheduled for a c-section on February 20. TWO WEEKS AWAY! I am getting very excited. I am SO ready to finally be a mommy. :)

Katie, that is great, lucky you, will still have a few weeks to be patient.
Had my visit - all is good. baby was in perfect upside down position not engaged but not too far off the doc reckons....Came home from shopping and thought that I should wash the clothes this week and have everything ready, not that I expect an early one, but figured better not ignore the feeling!!
I have an Ultrasound booked for the 3/3 to check size, will be booking a c sect if over 8lb....won't be doing the big baby natural at all ever again!!!! I will just be off 38weeks then, so plenty of time to book if needed.
Are these weeks going fast for anyone else? They seem to be flying by at the moment, I wonder how long that will last.

Good Morning March Mommies!! We are getting super duper close! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I had my last shower on Saturday, and it went so well! We have almost everything that we need. We just have to get a couple little things, but that is it. I feel like Penny doesn't wanna be in me much longer....she is the most active baby I have ever heard of. I have no clue what position she is in cause she is always moving. I am not exaggerating either, I think she takes power naps for like 10-15 mins at a time, then she is back to rolling around and pushing. I a__sume that means that she is okay and just likes to wiggle. My hips and pelvic region are still killing me. It feels like when you run a mile and you haven't exercised in years...that soreness is all I have down there. Dr says it is normal though, so I just need to get used to it. Have any of you ladies lost your plugs? If so, how far along are you? Dr says usually they are lost between 36-39 weeks. Anyone have diarrhea? I have had a lot lately too, and I hear that is a sign for something. I haven't had contractions that I know of, or water breakage...just some small leakage, which I a__sume is normal...it is not funny colored or anything. Just a little more than normal. I am 34 weeks as of this last Sat too. Anyone having the same stuff going on?

Courtney, if it is happening frequently it may be your hindwaters that have busted.... sometimes a small tear happens in the top of the bag and you "leak" there is no smell or anything. That is what happened with my daughter, they can do a swab and test it at the hospital to see if it so.
there is a ma__sage video on pregnancy about. com - it is not very long, and shows the absolute basics, but i got my daughter to watch it, and she rubbed in some rose oil after i had a warm shower the other day, instant relief, unwound everything in my back and helped to ease the pelvic pain for a few hours and the following day it wasnt quite so bad.... the pain wont go away until after bub, but it sure did help, going to do it again. She followed how they did it, and rubbed my back for about 20 mins to half an hour, make sure you can go to sleep after wards, it was immensly relaxing.

Hello Ladies,
Well am I the only one to feel like those weeks are going very slowly? My son should arrive in 34 days...I just can't wait.
I'll have my next appointment next Tuesday and get an u/s to check size and weight. I'll be 37 wks! and then one every week...
Mine was a gymnast as well but he seems to be calmer today, maybe tonight he'll wake up!
Everything is ready for him to arrive. Just need to check if the car seat is well secured!!!
Hope everything is fine for you!

Thanks elizabear, I will double check with my dr when I go this Friday, I am also going to check out the ma__sage, that sounds amazing! I a__sume you lay on your side when you get it done?
Elodie, I feel time is going slow as well. I know it isn't, but I just turned 34 weeks on Saturday, and I am ready to be a mom! I am so tired lately, and I know it will be different when she gets here, but I am ready to meet her, and hold her!! We don't start my once a week appts until I am 37 weeks. I have a feeling she is going to show up early...so does my hubby. She is such an active little one, and she never sits still. It seems like she is ready to come out. I am hoping she holds off for atleast two more weeks, but after that, fair game!!

Courtney: Everyone hopes they arrive earlier! My weekly appt are also scheduled after I'm 37wks which is next week.
When you say to people "I have still 5 weeks to go", they usually say "You only get 5 week left, woaw, it's gone so fast".... Well they aren't the one with an acrobat in their tummy!!! and having all of these lovely pregnancy discomforts.
Well I have the feeling he'll be just on time, I guess he'll show up on March the 17th for St Patrick's day! So his dad can celebrate with a pint of Guinness! My husband is not that impatient but he doesn't have any back pain or heartburn or kicks!
My mom keeps sending me clothes for my son. I received a parcel a week since the last 2 weeks, and she is sending another one this week! It's the sale in Frce at the moment, so she keeps buying stuff for her grd-son! She is so in her new grand-ma role already!

Courtney, yes I laid on my side, had a pillow under my knee (thought everyone did this already tis why i didnt put it in) to hold my top leg at the right angle so that there was no pressure, and then I had others piled up so that i did not roll too far on my tummy, but was able to put my top arm up and over them to be comfy and my bottom arm i just slid up under the head pillow, i got very comfy first.....
if anyone knows how to get rid of a bit of fluid, I would be greatful, my feet are so swollen and they just wont go down now enough to give me any real comfort, only time my whole body doesnt ache is when i lay in the pool, but now we got summer thunder storms happening.
Elodie, it is probably going so slowly for you because you so can't wait for bub to be here, I cant talk for anyone else, but i keep looking around the house and keep seeing things that need to be done, and then i keep counting the days and hope i have enough time to get it done and get some rest...lol. I have 2 boxes of filing to do and craft stuff to pack away, today was suppose to be the day to do it, but i have had a lazy day.

my preeclampsia got way worse last thurs 2-5 (my dad's bday), BP went from 1`52/96 at am ob to 180/112 at appt at PCP that afternoon. SO went to hosp and had c-sect in am on feb 6 (36 wk 3 d)THEY ARE HERE FINALLY!!! Baby A is Cameron Matthew Giltinan, 5#8 1/2oz, 8:28am, 19 1/2 in long, and Baby B Keegan Connor Giltinan 5#7oz, 8:30am, 19 in long. -there's a long funny story behind these names-I don't remember much about c-sect (was awake but groggy and way too worried if, everything was okb/c going so fast. Suregeon was supposed to be on deck to fix hernia while they were in there, but unfortunately that day he had 6 other operations, so the ob's patched things up the best they could. THought I had HELLP, But, labs stable. Was supposed to go home 2-10 w/me and babies, BUT, yest, they did a car seat challenge, and both failed (70's-80's) pulse oxygen. I afterwards noticed that they were both in the 80's for oxygen while in the ba__sinet, (normal in colorado is anything above91%), begged the day nurse to do continuos oxy monitor, she said 80's is "normal" Got evening nurse to let me do the oxy test on my own (I'm a phys a__st), and they were in the 70's-80's, told here this, she said it was normal, they weren't blue so doing ok. (Also, that nurse was told to call my OB if my BP was above 100 for bottom number, which it was, despite being started on meds and she didn't-so OB is furious).Told pediatrician this am about both tests, I'm not comfortable taking them home until further investigated.needless to say she was VERY PISSED that this essentially was b__wn off by nurses, AND now, instead, both babies are on 1/2 liter oxygen, in intensive care, likely to be there for rest of week. I talked w/the director, the care coordinator, unit nurse, and the supervisor. BIG TROUBLE for those 2 idiot nurses involved. What if I hadn't been a medical professional, or "overely worried according to nurse", would they have been sending my babies home to succ_mb to SIDS for too low of oxygen.... ANYWAY all in all, I am doing good, way emotional now, headache still, c-section without any pain??-weird! way tired, puffy, still fat-:(( but very blessed they are here and very cute to boot! (they should have just put a zipper in the 1st c-sect!) SOOO hate to ask again, but we need your prayers our way again!!!!! I'll update you soon w/site for pics.

Congrats comommy on your twin boys. I'm sorry about your experiences with some of those nurses too. It's sad that you can't really take the time you need to recover for yourself because you have to babysit other medical professionals. Good thing you are in the medical business though. I am looking forward to my delivery. Hopefully my little girl will be here next Friday. C-section is scheduled for 2/20 pending amnio results say she's ready. I'll be 38 weeks the day of the amnio, so I hope she'll be ready. :)
