Hey Everyone, I'm Taylor my due date is March 7th and I am sooooooo ready for our lil girl to come out!!! I went to the doctor today and he said if I don't go into labor before Wednesday he is going to induce me. Now I have heard alot of bad n a lil good things about inducement and I would like your opinon on the topic. Thankz

Good Morning!!! Taylor0618- I do not know about inducement, this is my first too otherwise I would give you an opinion, sorry!! So...dr's appointment went amazing yesterday. It was our 37 week appointment, and I am already 3CM dialated and 70% effaced....holy moly!! Dr said I could go anytime. She was pretty surprised, so I will take that as a good thing. I know everyone is different, but I a__sume it will happen sooner than my due date which is the 21st. My sis went into labor after 2CM...everyone I told that I was that dialated/effaced were shocked and told their stories of not being that far before going into labor...what about you 2nd time moms?

Hello Ladies, Courtney: Well I'm still waiting for Elouan to come. Last Tues., my OB did a u/s and everything is normal, he weighs 2.9kg. She'll check my cervix next Tues. But I don't fell like anything has changed so far. He's still moving a lot and he's taking his time to get out. My Beta-strep test went out negative which is a relief as I hate syringe and needles! If it wasn't my first baby in a foreign country I'd have go for a home birth as I hate hospital.... Taylor: I don't really understand... If you're due on the 7th why your DR want to induce you on the 4th (Has he got something planned on that weekend that enables him to come to the delivery room????). I mean your little one is only consider overdue at 42weeks not 3 days BEFORE due date!!!! I wouldn't let this happen to me. Almost all the stories I've heard about inducement ended up by a C-section. I'm convinced my boy will show up after my due date (March the 16th), and I'll tell my OB that we'll wait one more week to let him time to come by his own, unless major medical restrictions. I don't want to be induced and want the most natural birth as possible. 30 years ago, due date were just a mark not a deadline for the baby to come and I'm sure they were less problem (and C-section) than nowadays. Let mother nature take car of your little girl. And convinced Dr, inducement is not the option you want (if it's not what u want). Only 2 weeks remain befor seeing "little us"!!!

Courtney that is great news. I am a little jealous....lol ...we got nothing, baby is still sitting high as it can, so I am thinking I will go over and past the 21st March. Taylor, I would not induce early, your body is not ready and this can cause problems, I would query in your position why the dr wants to do this, most are more than happy for you to go over then induce the little one to come out if still not happening. I know it can be done early and can be safe, but if baby isn't ready by your due date, then baby isnt ready to come. As impatient as I am to have this one, I wont be induced early to risk anything harming the baby, I will be happy to wait the 2 weeks over and become an april mum if need be. My thoughts on it anyway.

Hi ladies, just wanted to let you know my son Rian has arrived. Went for my 38 week appoint. Thursday and doc felt my amniotic fluid was on the low side. He decided to induce me that day. I had Rian Friday morning Feb. 27th at 12.50am, he weighed 6lbs3oz and 19 1/2" long. He is adorable and we are just crazy in love with him. Good Luck to who ever is next!!!!!

Congradulations Denise, that is lovely!! Had my US today, we found out we are having a little girl.....we are thrilled, always wanted another girl, Laine is stoked, now she really can't wait...lol She weighs 7lb 5oz at the moment, so the tech reckons they wont allow me to go over at all and that she might decide to come anytime in the next 2 weeks. I am glad, cause she sits on one side and has badly pinched a nerve running down my leg, was in tears getting in the car to come home.

Congrats elizabear on your little lady! Do you have a name for her yet? No Penny yet. She has decided to be stubborn. We go back to the dr tomorrow, so I am hoping I have dilated some more from 3cm, and that she will send us to L&D...I can dream can't I?!?! I had an emotional day yesterday. Had to leave work because I couldn't stop crying for some reason! I felt so silly, but thank goodness I work with some amazing ladies, and they understood the situation (or lack there of!) I am just so ready for Penny to be here. I keep telling myself that there is a reason she is not here yet, and she will know when she is ready...just can't help being impatient!! Plus I feel really awkward and like she is walking me around!! How is every one else doing? Any more births? Dr appointment updates? I will write again tomorrow after we go to the dr and let everyone know how we did!!

Hello Ladies, Had an OB apt yesterday. She checks my cervix and I'm 1cm dilated + cervix effacement so work is undergoing well. I had really bad contractions yesterday eve, 3 in 1/2h but then they stopped. I lost my MP this morning so should be soon. But still I try not to get over excited as some women cans ty more than a week at 1cm without the MP. So no rush... I try to keep myself busy but it's hard as I move with quite difficulty now. Hope everything is fine...

Went to the dr yesterday. I am still 3cm dilated and now 80% effaced...progress is progress even if it is a little bit! Still could go at anytime...two weeks left, and it we are soooooo ready!!

Hello Ladies, Glad all is well with everyone. Yes we are a little over the waiting now as well...lol. Had my appointment yesterday, he isnt going to check my pelvis until the last visit, doc is happy that baby is in normal range, though he said if she does not come within the next two weeks, then they will membrane sweep at 40 week visit and book for an induction a few days after my due date. So I can live with that. Yes Courtney, from the look of it her name will be Aurorah Dorry May. She looks alot like her big sis Laine from what we could see in the U/s so now just to wait and see if she will be blonde or a red head, Laine is strawberry blonde, so hope this one is the same.

Had my 39 week appoint this morning. All is good, baby is happy as can be, thought that we might have had an early delivery on Thursday, but alas, it was a false alarm. I have huge feet with swelling and they are just constantly painful, I am up every hour now rushing to the toilet, and moving generally hurts. I am now over this pregnancy and ready to move onto the next step, but I believe my little darling girl is going to hold out to the end!! How are you all doing? Hope someone has had something happen.

Hello Elizabear, I had my last apt on Tues. I was 2cm and quite effaced but I'm still at home. Baby doens't want to show up his face yet. I'm betting on tomorrow, Sat the 14th. Last week I had this very feeling of being bored and be a mom not a "mom-to-be" anymore. This week has flew so fast that I can't beleice it's already the week-end. I have another apt on Tue the 17th (due date being the 16th)to schedule an induction if needed. Dr says she will let me go +1wk so I'm hoping not to be induced. I think Penny finally showwed up as there is no news from Courtney for a while.

No Penny, she is being stubborn!! I went to the dr yesterday, still at 3cm, effaced to 80%. Everything is well with Penny, doc thinks she will be 7 1/2-8lbs!! We asked about going over our due date which is the 21st, doc said that she doesn't want me to because my blood pressure is teetering on what could be dangerous, so if Penny holds out, she will induce me on the 19th!! I am pretty excited, but kind of scared. I want her to come naturally, but I won't risk her or I being in trouble, so induction is okay. She could very well comet this weekend. All morning I have been having a lot of tightness in my lower abdomen, not really contractions, but it is in my back too, so I dont' really know what to think...is it gas, is it from the exam yesterday, or is it a sign of early labor? Crossing my fingers for this weekend!! Glad you guys are doing well!
