Mobile Home

We live in a single wide mobile home. Our son is 2 1/2 and sleeps in a toddler bed in our room. We are concerned about putting him in his room due to it being so far away. When we resided in a house, when he was several months old, we had no qualms about putting him in another room b/c it was near us. However, now I just can't bring myself to put him in his room. Any suggestions? Anyone else feel this way with the bedroom for the child being on the opposite end of the house?

We lived in a single wide when my first son was about that age. The master bedroom was at one end, then the kitchen, then the living room, then his room. It was hard (for me - not him) to be so far away and I spent many of those first nights on the couch so I could be closer to him.. dh thought I was nuts and got me one of those baby monitors so I could hear him. Did wonders for me.

my suggstion would also be a moniter then you can hear him breathe and that should put your mind at ease i am sure it is harder for moms than the kids

Our bedroom is on the first floor at one end and ds's br is upstairs on the other end of our house, so I completely sympathise. We have the monitor on and keep our door open (his is shut in case he figures out how to climb out of the crib) but it does get easier.
