Our annual car show in town had an awful accident today when one of the drag cars crashed into the crowd. The death and injured total insn't official but as of the moment it is 4 dead and up to 30 injured. One that died was a friend and one in critical condition was a friend. We were supposed to of been there for the parade/race but decided to go swimming instead. Please if you don't mind pray for the families involved. I know this is not toddler related but I wanted to share and to ask for your prayers too. If you would like to read for yourself you can google cars for kids in Tn.

That is terrible! I've not been to a benefit show like that, but we enjoy going to the drag races. I've thought so many times how easy it would be for a disaster to happen. I pray for each person and family that this has affected! I pray that it won't affect the organization's ability to continue to raise money. I'm sorry this happened to your friends!

He is listed in good condition. His back was broken in two places, a broke leg, and arm are his main injuries now. Today was the beginning of the services for those who past away from the accident, The line of people for visitations for Brook went almost all the way around the building, with more people extending the line as others entered the building, She was one of those all around good people, you just couldn't help but like her wether you really knew her or not. I hate that it took something like this for our community to come together the way it has. The accident scene was so bad that they have brought in grief counselors to counsil the EMT's, cops, ETC. That day two other cars lost control but were able to get back under control before anything happened, almost 20 years going someone has ALMOST lost control every year, but never really has, and every year people come back to watch again and every year they will not put up baracades( the organizer asked for them to be put up, the local L.I. said they were too busy, the organizer is a close family friend). Details aren't really clear now but they are saying that that car was never meant to go down the street but to only do a burnout( still dangerous), but if you watch the video you see a man in overall's( the organizer) flagging the car to SLOW down/ stop. From what they are saying the driver is under suicide watch also.

That just makes me sad. What a terrible tragedy that could have been prevented with just a little time taken. :O{
