My lo( 16 months) is sick... she started vomiting with diarreha late saturday/early sunday by 10 sunday morning she had stopped. Now she is doing it again on monday. Her fever hasn't got that high but she has had a small one on and off. I'm not sure what to do, the last time she was sick like this the doc's said they can't do anything b/c she is too young. and my family all say it just has to run it's course. I just need to advice, please.

Sorry to hear that she is sick :( Keep up her fluid intake..try milk without lactose because it is hard for them to digest when they are sick. I gave lactose free milk to Tristan when he was vomiting and having diaherrea and it cleared up almost right away! You can also give her tylenol.. or whatever the equivalent is where you live. But I would only give it if her temp is above 38°C because a bit of fever actually helps fight the "disease". If it doesn't get better I would go see a doctor. Sometimes a throat infection can cause vomiting and low grade fevers. I hope she feels better soon! Isn't cleaning up vomit the worst?? I hate it so much more than poopy diapers!

yes it is bad, but I'm having to clean up both.lol. I thought about giving her lactose free milk. It seems as if the milk is what is making her sick. She was fine yesterday evening= no milk. But tonight I gave her some before bed and she is sick again. I know it isn't just bad milk because of the faver and it has come out of two diff containers.

Sounds exactly like what Tristan had a few months ago. We ended up calling a doctor in because he was throwing up everything. My mom suggested lactose free milk to me and it worked like a charm. I realized that the milk was what was giving him diarrhea and making him vomit. I mean he was sick, but the milk was making it worse. I think it sounds like your daughter has a stomache bug so you should either cut out the milk and give her juice and water or get lactose free milk. Has she been refusing to eat? It's horrible when they are sick like this isn't it!
