Hi there ladies and many congratualtions on your pregnancies. I'd like to tell you my short story and situation and then would really apprieciate your opinions. OK, I have a son who will be a year old next month and i am now 17weeks pregnant, I have already had 2 scans (1 at 8weeks and 1 at 13weeks) everything looked normal etc, however, you know your uterus is supposed to grow approximately 1cm per week so by 20weeks its level with your belly button, well at 16weeks it was already level with my belly button, and last time it grew as it was meant to. I was wondering if with twins does your uterus grow at a more rapid rate? and have you found some of your 1st trimester symptoms haven't faded? I am still so exhausted and nothing I do can get rid of it. I dont have another scan for a month but I am seeing the midwife tomorrow but I was just hoping for some advice from women who are there. Thank you in advanvce :o) ~(ps: really sorry if I have just rambled on!!!)~

I think your dr would have caught twins at least from 1 of the u/s. Its common for you to measure bigger/larger with subsequent pg. Its not necessarily a twin determiner. Ive not had any symptoms with this twin pg..no m/s and I think I was more tired with my singletons. So I dont think your exhaustion means twins either..GL either way..Update us when you know something..

It would be a very rare thing if they missed twins after 2 u/s, especially if the one was at 13 weeks. Like Lcoots says, your uterus will measurer larger after having a prior pregnancy. I have a friend that looked full term at 4 months with a singleton during her second pregnancy.

I would say it is more likely that you are measuring big due to your pg being very close together....your uterus tends not to recover, and/or jumps right into the next pg at full speed. Twins missed at 2 sonos is rare. It is more likely that being big and being hit by exhaustion is due to having a small baby at home AND your body working hard to grow another. Good LUck.
