i am 9w5d now and yesterday i bleeded ! i was gonna faint when i saw the blood , ran to my doc . He did an u/s and said that my baby is ok but there are 2 empty sacs and the bleeding could be because of them . I am so worried and afraid . Could not stop crying all night especially when i saw blood again early morning . It is brown spotting now . Anyone knows anything about vanishing twins please post what u know . I NEED to be comforted ladies pleeease.

I had VTS at 11 weeks. I had no idea at the time that I was pregnant with twins and would not have know if I didn't start bleeding like crazy (no cramps) for about an hour. It was bright red and stopped after a time and then turned to brown spotting that happened on and off for a week. When I went in for my u/s, there were two babies, but one was without a h/b. Most VTS don't have any symptoms but you can. You body will absorb the empty sacs and the surviving twin (triplet?) should be fine.

Since your bleeding is not brown, that is considered OLD blood, its totally normal. When I lost my dd's twin I had a gush of red blood and I cant remember if I had any spotting after. Im not thinking I did, but you have 2 empty sacs so that could be why. If your bleeding turns red again then you need to call your dr..It will probably be brown for a day or 2 and then stop. Im glad to hear your baby is fine..Its really bitter sweet. Your sad you lost 1 or your case 2 but your thrilled to be pg..HUGS! here's to an uneventful rest of your pg..
