Soreness In The Lower Abdomen

I am 17 weeks pregnant with twins and for a little over a week now, I continue to be very sore all across the very lowest part of my abdomen, from the far left side to the far right side. It's almost all of the time, but I especially feel it when I stand up after sitting down for a while. This is my second pregnancy and I don't remember feeling any of this before. I'm kind of worried about it. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what this might be, maybe if you've had it happen to you?

i had the most excruiciating pain uin my life a couple of days ago on my left side! i couldn't even stand up . i went to the doctor and he rea__sured me that what i was feeling was round ligament pain. Which is the ligaments that support the uterus are stretching to support the growing uterus. It is all a sign of everything being alright and that my 2 babies are growing inside as well as myself.Everything you have mentioned sounds perfectly normal. I was scared too. This is my first pregnancy. The only thing you should be concerned about is if you start cramping and the pain gets really severe. This one women said hers had lasted for 5 days! I am 19 weeks pregnant so this is a time when everything starts to grow grow grow!

Shelly, what you are experiencing is so normal, especially the standing and sitting part. Stephanie is correct. Your ligaments are just stretching out. I often had it so bad, it felt like a knife stabbing me. You'll be fine!
