Twins Still A Possibility

I had an early ultrasound this week because of spotting. Since it was "urgent" and not a regularly scheduled ultrasound, the procedure was not as pleasant. I wasn't allowed to see the screen. My husband wasn't allowed to accompany me. I wasn't allowed to ask questions and the tech wasn't allowed to volunteer information. We got a phone call that night from the nurse who heard from my OB that everything was fine... no mention of twins. I'm just so convinced I'm having twins that this is driving me crazy!! First, I got a positive hpt a week before my period was due. Second, my hcg levels were really high for the days they were taken... they went from 125 at 10dpo to 297 at 12dpo. Also, I've just been extremely exhausted and it has seemed that my pg symptoms are exaggerated. Is it possible that I am carrying twins even though the OB didn't say anything about it from my ultrasound?

yeah it probably is possibe, but wait until you have your routine ultrasound done. because you said that the emergency doc couldnt say anything, he probably couldnt tell you if it was twins or not either.

1) positive test before period is due does not mean twins....! Although it could be possible.
2) 125 to 297 seems pretty normal to me. It is suppose to double every 2 days, give or take a little.
3) Symptoms don't mean anything either, some people that carry twins have no symptoms at all.
4) as for the doctor not letting you see, they don't have the right to do that. You can look under the privacy policies, you have every right to know what is going on and see what is going on.
