I am trying to find out if VTS happens to faternal, identical or if it doesn't matter. I happen to be the surviving twin and I was just trying to find out more info on it. Thanks in advance, amaxam

VTS can happen with id or fraternal. Unfortunately is happens in 1 in 10 pregnancies, most women don't even know unless they had an early sono that visualized two sacs. If you were a frat twin your chances of having twins are 1 in 17, BUT there is NO way to know that from early u/s. Id twins CAN be in separate sacs and have their own placenta, so you could have been an id twin OR a fraternal twin. I hope that helped.
