I have 2 beautiful children with clomid. One 14 and another 12. I thank God it was available and at 39 I will be trying it for my hopefully 3rd child. I experienced no side effects and the chances for multiples is very low with clomid. You should have folicle scans while taking it. 14 years ago when I took it I had no scans done but then I got pregnant the first month. I probably will start it in Feb and will keep you all posted.

F-day is my last day on clomid 100mg 3-7 days.Last month had 50mg, and had I'll say "positive"strong pain day 12 and 13 and I probably ovulated day 14.Ultrasound showed at day 12, two large eggs.Doctor didnt gave me any injections shot.Australian doctors dont like to give to much medicines even with IVF they tough, just two embryos will be transfered at women in 40. Just received another clomid from india, brend name Fertyl-Super, totaly diferent.Today is my CD 5.I dreamd to have a large family but think it will not happend to me.Im 39.Prayers to all who trying to conceive these days.

I know most of you are talking about Chlomid, but what are my chances naturally? My paternal grandmother is a fraternal twin, my mom’s cousin had twins, and the biggest factor is that I myself am a fraternal twin. I know they say that the father can’t decide on twins, but could my father have pa__sed that gene down to me? Does anyone know the odds? Thanks!

Amanda 103- From what I have read, the answer is yes. Since your father inherits half of his mother's DNA, he then pa__ses that to you, therefore technically you would have that possibility of concieving twins naturally. If it was on your husband's side, it would be impossible to pa__s it to you, but he could pa__s it to a daughter. My maternal grandmother had 3 sets of twins and four years ago my sister had twin girls. Now my husband and I are expecting b/g twins at the end of March. All natrual. Although twins also run in my DH family, that would not affect my ovulation. see? I love reading the posts on this site. I take no offense or judgement for those who are intentially taking clomid to concieve twins. I feel very lucky to have them naturally. Good luck to everyone!

There's an awsome website called smartstork, I know alot of you ladies have heard of it and it explains it so clearly It's great. If there are fraternal twins in Mum's side then the gene to produce multiple eggs at one time is pa__sed down to you. If there are IDENTICAL twins in Dad's side then a certain protien that causes a sperm to split an egg is inherited by him. I always used to think the Dad had nothing to do with it but it's reasonable to now think he does. I'm glad because there are Fraternal twins all through my family and Identical all through dh! Just have to get prg now :(

hello ladies i took time to read all the good and bad posts. well i am for this board because i have been trying for a child since 15 months now. only someone who has not gone through the agony of having a period every month when what you are looking for is to conceive will accuse another of trying to have twins. i took clomid cd2-6 this last cycle nad also hcg shot on cd13 because fro past experience clomid worked for me but i did not release the eggs. so now my fingers are crossed and i wish the new mummies happy pregnancy. i must say i am jealous of those with twins and will do anything to have them. AND FOR THE CRITICS, MY dh SUPPORTS IT.

I well know the agony of infertility. I spent 3 yrs doing fertility treatments and miscarrying (3 times). I also know the agony of premature multiples. It is from that agony that my opposition to u/p clomid springs.

I am trying to find a way to help get pregnant with twins and I am worried about taking meds, but I might try it. I just miscarried twins 13 weeks ago and my HCG levels are taking forever to reach 0. I was 11 weeks along and I so wanted twins...

Both, from my mums and dads side every women could easily get pregnant, my mum had fertility to give birth at 50, my grannys55 with last live birth to, and I mTTC 2months after M/C and not lucky yet. They all have large families, tweens think from mums side, she M/C tweens in early stage and all these ladies never used anty baby pills and clomid. So my question is whats going on with us, todays generations?Whats wrong in food, air, soil, water?I was fery fertile but had pills for 6years and everyone from my fam.and doctors in my origin country blaming me for taking it.Im angry with myself and will try anything to have tweens.Today is my CD 8 and I started to use robbitussin sirup this morning 10ml, but is anyone know how much I should take and how often?I'll try pree-seeds to and OPK. Question two, girlls do you know when I should stop using red ra__sberries tea( I know is good for utreus in midle and late pregnancy)? Will have you ina my prayers.

Me Want Twins - January 13

You know, I don't disagree! I think there is something in the water/food/air as well causing all of this infirtility! Anyhow, I wish you the best of luck in getting your twins as well as your pregnancy at all!

lilly - January 13

Lilly, me want twins I totally agree with you. I learned quite abit about the environments affects on hormones when I did some research on natural progesterone cream, and estrogen dominance. It was quite interesting. I made my appt for Jan. 26 and will get an US then. My doc always does one on the first visit. I will be 7wks on the nose. So should see a heartbeat or heartbeats?

Lilly - January 14

Shennon, congradulations on pregnancy, wish you good luck with your U/S hope everything will work well for you and wish you baby tweens.

I think that yes it does. My doctor prescribed 50 mg day 5-9 even though I ovulate normally, its just we have not gotten pregnant since the miscarriage last July. Does anyone know if that will increase my chances of having twins? I'm 29 years old. Does anyone know when you are supposed to ovulate on Clomid?
