Hello everyone! Finally, a place to find some success stories! I hope that everyone is doing well and baby dust to all! DH and I have been trying for our 3rd for 18 months now and NOTHING! Doc wants to put me on clomid, but I opted not to. I asked her if I can do some research prior to the RX. I have a few friends that have undergone IVF with clomid and have heard about the really bad side effects, but I won't be doing IVF and am considering clomid. I talked to the doc about the side effects and she really didn't specify how to counter act against the side effects. I've heard of Mucinex, baby aspirin, progesteron cream, preseed ETC. But does it really all work? I'm just a little concerned about all of it. I'm 28 and already have 2 kids ( B & G, 8 & 5) and DH wants the last one. I never really had a problem conceiving up until NOW. The other two were pretty much automatic. Any advice on making clomid successful would be great. I really appreciate your stories and advice! Desertflower- I have never been good at coming up with names, so I will leave that to you! seb- Oh yes, credit cards are deadly... lol yes, we def need a new place before baby comes cause right now we are in a two bedroom trailer so a baby won't fit for long.. lol Oh yeah, I have even had to defriend some people because they are just creepy.. lol I hear you about the ex's, I have one that I would love to be friends with, but my bf won't allow it.. lol He was the first guy I actually dated for over 1 year and thought I was in love with so it would have been nice to have him as a friend. Oh well life goes on.. lol NMMB- I will try to look for you later today! Jessica- I would think that your tubes and your DH's sperm should be fine since you did get pregnant, I thought it was just that medicine the doctor had you on? Good luck with the HSG! Hopeful- Have fun on your date girl, that should be loud and fun! I live in a dinky town and we never have anything like that around here. That is why my bf keeps trying to get me to move to Texas so we can go to games and what not.. I just don't think we can afford a move when he isn't working, I am afraid that he won't work down there either and I won't be able to support us both. I have some family there, but not sure where they are exactly. AP4-Many of the women on here take the clomid at night so they don't get the side effects. I am not sure about everything else, but here that preseed really helps when you are on clomid to keep you moist. Good luck!

Hopeful: I am glad that you and your DH are going to have a date night. It is good to go do something fun and take a break from thinking about ttc. So I tested the other day and yesterday and not today yet. Still no smily face on the OPK. Now I believe I heard that the Clomid can give you a false negative or false positive is that correct. I just want to see a smily face or just get informed that I ovualted. I will test on monday to see where my progesterone level is and find out on tuesday. Fingers are crossed tightly. Too all of the other ladies . Baby dust!

Hello Guys, Nice to meet you all my name is Jessica 31 and my DH 34... I have been reading this thread for about 2 weeks now and today is the day that I decided to join as I feel very sad and I'm hoping this is going to help me emotionally. Our journey started September of 2010 when we had hopes of having a child like everyone else get off the pill and start trying, however it didn't pan out that well. After changing Doctor's March of last year because the doctor who was seeing for 6 years had vanished we have gone through so many ups and downs. First my new Doctor found that I had some nodules on my thyroid, thankfully non-cancerous, after a very painful needle aspiration biopsy. My thyroid still needs to be taken out as the nodules are very large. We also had to deal with 6 months until my thyroid was leveled taking synthroid 112. After that deal with my PCOS which I am taking Metformin 1500 mg since January. My DH on the other hand had a severe varecocele on his Testicle which he had to had surgery for to increase the count, motility and morfology of his sperm, the Urologist said that by April his sperm should be better than ever. his count before the surgery was 13 million then 22 million and today post surgery and 3 months of wait was 3 million, after surgery and all, the doctor said that he had a fever because of a cold he had 3 weeks ago and that by June he should be ok. in the mean time being that we have been so patient about these results I had started the process of taking clomid and I am supposed to do the HCG shot on friday did the whole US and everything with my doctor this past Monday (by the way she is amazing) I hold off on the IUI thinking his sperm will be better than ever and for what? We are both frustrated, he called me this morning crying after his SA, he wants to be a father and I want to be a mother and I believe this urologist just took us for a trip. My Dr. did advised us to go ahead with the IUI since January but we wanted really hard for that surgery to have work. I read a few of you experiencing frustration about people getting pregnant all around you, around me it's just a mess, and a bunch of people calling me about people who I don't even speak to from college who recently became a parent or getting pregnant, OMG I don't care specially now!!! I am so happy to have found a space like this to vent, I would not wish this on my worst enemy... anyone who struggles with fertility is amazing on my book and every single one of you deserve a BFP. Thank you for opening up a space like this!

Jessica80: Wow you poor thing it sounds like you and your dh keep getting stones thrown at you. I hope very soon that you will get a break and get a good chance at having that little buddle of joy. Keep your chin up and it will happen. Good luck and baby dust

Jessica - Welcome :) you'll find great support on here, they are all amazing, strong women with lots of insight! I would love to interact with yall on Facebook! It would be much easier! Unfortunately, my baby journey is a kind of private one so the idea of a private group sounds appealing. I have family that is pregnant that just love to rub it in my face so I have told everyone that we aren't even trying... It would be awful if they saw anything about a fertility/Clomid support group on my page. jessica80- i am so sorry you and ur husband had to endure all of that. u have come to the right place for support with anything.. i love it here and the stories here will make you laugh, cry, mad etc.. I hope that things start lookin up for you soon..

well ladies had good dinner with the bf. I am thinking that i will not test on fri because he is planning on being here (i kinda want to surprise him if +) so i may just test sat morn.. what you ladies think.. or should i just test tomorrow? or should i just not test at all.. ugh

Debw- the reason why gynea sending me for Laproscopy bcoz she thinks my tubes might be blocked or the utreus walls r attached and there is no place for embryo to implant int the utreus. if the walls r attacehd she will seperate it during the surgery and if tubes r blocked i will b going for IVF. I had a talk with hubby last night and he is agreed to this surgery. I m just trying to prepare myself for the procedure. Its on 13th June so i have still got some time to think about. i dnt think so that i have to pay anything from m pocket as they r sending the bills to Medicare (Health services). I had also had D&C in sep 2010. so tell me wat hpnd after ur laproscopy? wat did the doctor said to u? sry for asking so many questions.......... Nmmb87- Thanx for the kind words dear. Hi Ladies!! Well...I have not posted in about a week & a half & needless to say I am wayyyyy behind!! lOl. I'm not even going to try to catch up with everyone one by one...but I have been reading everyones posts on my phone! I really like the idea of chatting with everyone on FB...but I def think it should be a private thing for us ladies! Like some of you mentioned before...TTC is already hard enough as it is let alone it being blasted all over FB "Clomid Friends" or "TTC...Help?!" lOl. You get my drift ladies! I think "Forum Friends" could be a cute name!! :) *Hopeful...So sorry ur DH was being a pain in the a__s. But aren't all men pain in the a__ses at times?? I know my hubby can be. lOl. Men don't understand what its like to be a woman & have a ton of emotions running through ur body & mind at all times. Especially when it comes to TTC. It's a very emotional journey & it weighs down on us. Men are sometimes just in-sensitive to that! Sit down & talk to him & tell him "calmly" how u feel (if u can...I know its hard)! I've done that with my DH several times when I've been feeling down & it always seems to help! *Reese...Glad to hear your MIL is doing better! My thoughts are with you guys! This site is definetely a lot of help & support. You & ur DH seem to have been through alot already...hopefully things start to look up for you guys! Keep following your Drs advice & give it time...we will all get there soon! :) AFM...I'm kind of at a stand still right now bc of the Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine. I go in to get my 2nd shot in about a week & a half & then I will get my blood drawn on May 30th to see if I am immune. So basically another month & a half until we can start TTC again. It's ok though...it feels good to take a rest & process everything. I've been really relaxed & happy lately about the whole TTC thing & it feels GREAT!! Everything happens for a reason...right ladies?!?! I did go in last week for another cd21 Progesterone test. I am not on any meds this month except for my 1,500mg of Metformin. I didn't even bother taking Clomid this month bc we can't TTC right now anyways. My results came back at a 14...with NO MEDS!!!!!!!!!!! I was ecstatic when my Dr. called me. She said I ovulated great & ALL ON MY OWN!!!! Hopefully my body can stay on the right track until the beginning of June when we can get the ball rolling again!!! Happy thoughts & Baby dust to ALL!!!!

bpink- the job thing well lets just say i am in a 2ww with that too.. i turned in all the paperwork and now just waiting for the ax to fall lmao.. i have decided to test in the morning adn then again on sunday if need be.. i am excited either way.. yay i am so happy that you ovulated on your own.. how exciting and i believe that everything happens for a reason. i believe that june will be a good month for you.. because you have not been stressing ..

Hey ladies!! So today was the last day of testing for ovualation as directed by my fertility doctor...I don't know which one was ovulation since all of the test look the same (fainted but clear line but not as dark as the check line) so I just did it ( intercourse) every other day or two...in past two days I have been feeling a sensation on my right side of my ovaries and today I felt a slight sensation on my left...I dont know what that means but I hope one of those days was my fertile day...keeping t fingers crossed that this worke if not I'm going to have to start clomid all over again next month...

I’ve been really lucky and haven’t had any side effects besides being really emotional, but I know some women do. It does work though – my sister was put on clomid as well and she now has 3 beautiful boys. Good luck to you! Jessica80 – Wow it sounds like you have been through a lot! Missymazz – I totally agree with you on fb group being private. I think the reason we all found this site was because we didn’t feel comfortable saying what we do to all of our friends and family. We will make sure it is completely private so we can all feel safe to still talk openly. Bpink – I love the Forum Friends t_tle! Work has been hectic but I will try to play around with the fb group and test it out to make sure it is private. Reese – I think it depends on how you feel. If you are at least 10 DPO you have a slight chance of an early pregnancy test showing a positive – if you can hold out longer that only increases your chances of it showing a bfp! Fingers crossed for you!
