So you dnt have anythig to worry about. Do you have any u/s to be done on cd12 to see how many matur follies you have ?

Shash- no my ob didnt schedule any us. Just bw on the 21st. Thanks for the feedback. Its always good to know someone else has experienced the same thing. oh and from what i have read, girls are usually concieved a few days before ovulation.... food for thought... =)

No unfortunalty my Bf has a very bad toothack he took a pain killer but didn't do anything 4 him he told me that we wnt have any pleasur So I'll leave him rest. Just prayin that it will happen. Thankx very much 4 your reply

Hey ladies~Welcome all the newbies! Sorry I have been absent lately. Well I got tested for PCOS, and I have it, but even worse I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes today.My doc started me on Metformin 500 mg 3 times a day. He says that some women lose wieght while on Metformin and it can help them to get preggo. i have my fertility appt on the 27th hopefully they will start me on Clomid. I want to be aggresive, and have even considered IUI if in a few months Im not preggo. I am just hoping for a May baby so far, which would be PERFECT cuz I would be getting outa school then and I would have a nice summer break before getting into the Nursing Program.

Sam~~ Well at least you know what you have and can work on getting prego at a new angle. Whats Metformin used for? Shashana~~ I know how that feels. Hubby gets tooth pain all the time. I am so happy his teeth are getting fixed in a few weeks. The more you bd closer to O the more chances of having a boy. Boy spirm swim faster then girl sperm. and sperm and live in side of you for up to 4 days. Wewant3~~ Are you taking your temp. Thats better then any opk to show whats going on. everyones body is diffrent so no its not early. Also ever since I started clomid Ive been getting pains to like that. Mine some times last for a few days. Will be bringing that up with doctor next month since they dont like to call back.

Maya444 - Good luck on the 13th! Have you been bd'ing all the time just in case you did O? If you didnt O will your doc give you the hcg shot to make you O?

Trying - Well, I am considering doing the 2 extra days because normally my cycles are so crazy. Sometimes they can be incredibily long and I am just afraid that 5 days may not mature them enough to get the hcg shot on the 21st. I dont think that my OB knows a lot about fertility because she is young and she jas already given me wrong information in the past about taking Provera. If my follies are not mature enough, I dont think that she will do anything except tell me to wait. I havent made up my mind 100% yet because I want to wait and see how the clomid effects me first. If I have horrible s/e then I wont to 7 days of it.

shashana - Yes you still have a chance of getting prego. Sperm can live up to 5 days. I will be crossing my fingers for you. When does you BF have his test?

SAm - I am sorry to hear about the pcos and diabetes. At least now you have a plan that is better suited to your situation. It sounds like it would be perfect timing if you could get a May baby! I wish you all the luck!

SoReady- I have been bd'ing every other day since CD10 and will continue until July 12th. As for the Hcg shot, my obgyn is so laid back about fertility treatment that I had to basically force her to up my dose, let alone doing the shot. But I have decided that if I don't ovulate this cycle, I will be going to a RE. Sam- sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Good news though, is that you finally got a diagnosis and a plan. I take metformin too but it has yet to help me with my weight. Wish you luch with your plans. Trying- Metformin is an anti-diabetic drug which keeps insulin under control. Its other use is for PCOS patients as it helps with regulating hormones.

Hello ladies.. I just want to first say that I'm so hooked on reading your stories.. you don't understand how much hope ALL your experiences give, good or bad!! I'm a newbie to posting but believe me, I read all your posts. I do however have a hard time keeping up with all the abbreviations.. so if someone can translate? Well this is mine & hubby's first try but here goes, I had taken 50mg clomid cd5-9 which was 6/26-6/30.. on 7/2 which i believe would be cd11 and had a vag sonogram and dr said I had 1 folly in each ovary but were both too small. She had me what till 7/4 night and give myself the HCG shot and said for us to do "homework" all 7/5 & 7/6.. well, 7/5 was i think 5 xs and 7/6 was 1 x.. (i was in so much pain) every time I stood up it felt like my guts were going to pour out? so I came home early from work and did "homework" I slept elevated for about 3 hours. I woke up still in pain but got better as the night progressed. Since then every day I have been feeling bubble like movements (mostly on the left side & little on the right), light cramping, nausea.. I read it's too early for symptoms but I'm so NERVOUS! I was supposed to have went either today til Saturday to get the progesterone test but I'm more likely willing to wait the full week which will be Saturday (lessen my disappointment). Sorry if it seems too long but ALL you ladies are like you had said previously.. "the only ones that we (in our situation) can turn to". So please bare with me. On 7/19 will be 16 days from 7/4 which is when dr said I can take a preg test.. should I wait till 7/20? I'm supposed to start my period on 7/18.. so what would you ladies suggest?.. Am I too early to be feeling anything?.. *with GOD's help & baby dust to all of us*

Here are some abbv. for you: cd = cycle day, O = ovulation, dpo = days past ovulation, bd = baby dance (aka s_x), u/s = ultra sound, dh = husband, ds = son, dd = daughter, AF = aunt flow (period), OPK = Ovulation prediction test, BFN = big fat negative (when doing a pregnancy test), BFP = big fat post_tve(again when doing a preegnancy test). I hope that these help. My OB told me to test 14dpo and then call her. 7/18 will be 14dpo for you and you should be able to get a conclusive test on that day. Alot of women test earlier then that, but then you run the risk of being disappointed by getting a false BFN. If you have the strength to wait until 16dpo (7/20) then more power to you! I know that I couldnt wait that long. Good Luck!
