Here are some abbv. for you: cd = cycle day, O = ovulation, dpo = days past ovulation, bd = baby dance (aka s_x), u/s = ultra sound, dh = husband, ds = son, dd = daughter, AF = aunt flow (period), OPK = Ovulation prediction test, BFN = big fat negative (when doing a pregnancy test), BFP = big fat post_tve(again when doing a preegnancy test). I hope that these help. My OB told me to test 14dpo and then call her. 7/18 will be 14dpo for you and you should be able to get a conclusive test on that day. Alot of women test earlier then that, but then you run the risk of being disappointed by getting a false BFN. If you have the strength to wait until 16dpo (7/20) then more power to you! I know that I couldnt wait that long. Good Luck!

JOY~~ Welcome to the group. Symptoms are diffrent for everyone and for every pregnacy. My first son I was 12 weeks before I knew I was prego and with my second son I knew a week before I was late. Your almost at testing day so keep your head up. Maya~~ Ty.. to many drugs out there so I get lost with all of them. SOready~~ Just becarfull with what you do. I have read that sometimes clomid (if not taken right) can have reverse effects and end up killing the sperm. AFM~~ CD2 and this is really heavy. I am also getting a lot of clots is this normal? Ive had clots before but not this many or this big. I so wish my doctor would call me back this is making me so mad.

Trying - I have always had them, but I dont j=know if that is normal or not. This time they are heavier then usual. I have always meant to ask my OB when I go in for a visit but I always forget. Did you use anything to bring on AF? I used provera and I wonder if that has made it heavier then normal.

Soready~~ Nope dont use anything to bring of af. I know some clots are normal and happen but I just dont know how big is okay.

Trying - So you didnt take anything. I took provera for 7 days and then it took another 10 days for AF to arrive. I think that I have always had clots but unless they are super big I dont pay alot of attention to them. Although I can tell when I am gonna have one, because I will get very sharpe cramps right before. The bigger the cramp: the bigger the clot. Did you doc call you back yet?

hey ladies, those who are trying to conceive i have a tip, might sound stupid or funny but it worked for me. so my conception date was june 12th and it was a day before my husbands birthday, you know how they say missionary style is the best, well, hmm, not always, we didnt do missionary at all in the month of june, it was the opposite, hahah, if you know what i mean, right after it, you turn around and put pillows under ur b___tocks and fall asleep, try to stay in bed for at least an hour, because we are all shaped differently, missionary doesnt work for everyone... good luck, thought id share.

Hope - Thanks for the tip. Even though I am trying for a girl I may have to try your technique. It seems like with missionary it all comes out. I guess we will see what happens. I know that it is not time for me to bd but dh has been gone a long time so it is very hard not to! lol

Hey ladies! Well since the diabetes and PCOS diagnosis this week I have started Metformin. I have had the usual symptoms of stomach problems but not too bad that I can't handle. My DH and I have not done the deed at all this month so far, and I am CD 14. I have my fertility appt in 2 weeks. I am hoping the Metformin will help me to lose weight as my appet_te is as good as gone since starting it, and if i do eat something fatty or sugary I sure do pay the consequences! I wish I could be in game for this month but I figured I needed a break to keep sane. I am hopping the doc will be as aggressive as i want her to be! ****When any of you ladies went to your fertility doc were they as agressive as you would have liked them to be starting out? I want Clomid and the trigger shot and then progesterone supplements. Should I ask for these things or will she think I am crazy? I am just not sure what to expect for my first visit..... any advice?

Hey ladies I am on cd5 and I have taken clomid for 3 days now. KNOCK ON WOOD . . . no s/e. As nice as it is to not have any s/e, it makes me wonder if it is even working. I guess that I have to wait until the 21st when I have my u/s.

Sunshine sam- I went to my ob a couple months ago bc we have been ttc for 6months when my periods suddenly stopped. (this was before i knew about clomid). He told me no big deal, and an u/s showed that i wasnt ovulating. He didnt give me any meds, just sent me home and told me to wait and see. - yeah right! I went home and started researching and researching and figured out i probably had pcos... and further figured out clomid would help. So i made another appt. with my doc, prepared to go in and plea my case. (i read most docs make you wait a year or longer before stepping in with meds.) After another exam and testing, he agreed i had pcos. I then said "i want clomid". I was soo sure he would say no. But i was wrong. He said okay. SO moral of the story is... (i am sure you were wondering why i am writing this directly to you =)) ... Go in prepared to ask for what you want. The worst they can say is no. Right? Hope that helps! Afm- ( i thought for the longest time afm was a memeber here. I was like " wow, AFM is really popular here!") I am on cd 14 and i am pretty sure i have ovulated. So i guess that means i am in my 2ww? My birthday is next month, wouldnt that be the best present ever? However, i know clomid usually doesnt work its first round. Figures crossed! baby dust to all!

hey all How is everyone? Hope if you look up cinnamon it works just as good as metformin on pcos. Afm I am good and have my secongd ultrasound tomorrow 10wks 3 days. Baby dust to all ttc!

SoGood: TY.. now i'm up to your levels.. lol.. update, I went in on friday 7/10 and had my progesterone level checked.. it came back at 28.46, i don't have a appt to see my dr until my 2ww is over but is it safe to say that my levels are pretty high? I says normal levels are between 3-25.. comparing to a year ago when i had my levels checked on 7/12/08 it was at 5.84.. so that would mean i o'd and are on the right track? uuugh i can't wait til this week is over!! AF should be on Saturday and Monday 7/20 will be 16dpo *fingers crossed* any advice would be much appreciated..
