Boy, way for him to leave you hanging. To tell you the truth, I would try not to worry. You mentioned your weight, I bet that is related. I am 110 lbs pre-pregnancy and they always have a hard time finding the heartbeat of my "Baby A" the one really low near my cervix. And one could be behind the other. And I have ALSO noticed that some doctors are better at it than others. If he thought something was seriously wrong, I would a__sume they would have gotten you an u/s asap. You ahve no other signs of anything going wrong, correct??? I just don't think that was a nice way for him to leave it. If you find you can't sleep over this I would give them a call adn see if you can come in for a quick visit to check heartbeats again!

Hi, I'm 17 weeks with who knows identical or not (2 sacs 1 placenta could be either the doctor said) and I weighed 240lbs to start this pregnancy. I recently had a bleeding episode and had my 5th u/s done and saw both heat beats. Turns out I have a low lying placenta which caused the bleeding. But three days later I went to the doctor for a check up and she found one heartbeat in seconds the other was there we heard it for a second but it was hard to find. I don't think you should worry. At your next visit you should be having a u/s anyway and then you will see their heartbeats. Call and make sure your next visit you are scheduled for one.
