Mama-beans, I thought I read earlier you were taking red rasberry. Would it have the same effect if I took it before I got pregnant instead of while I was pregnant? I thought it helps make labor easier? thanks!

It is my understanding that Red Raspberry just promotes overall uterine health. My doc said stay away from it while pregnant till late in the 3rd trimester, then drink to my hearts content! That's my plan anyway!

Do you think it would be beneficial to someone who isn't pregnant yet?

In some hearbal books I have read they call red raspberry leaf tea the fertiltiy tonic. I have been drinking some, it can only help!

I took it for months before becoming pregnant. I think that is one of the things that may have helped this time around!

mama-beans: Have you ever tried vitex? Not wanting multiples but I've done some research on it and it looks like it might help.

Question? I am all natural this cycle and was wondering if I take the red rasberry after O or the whole cycle? I am already taking green tea, royal jelly, baby asprin and pre-nates........Should I be taking something else??? Just wondering...

I took vitex when I was TTC with my daughter, and didn't have any luck with it.. after 1.5 years we gave in and got a prescription. I have heard a lot of success stories with it though! As far as Red Raspberry Leaf tea, I drank it every day till I got a positive HPT.

Megan - December 10

Red Raspberry? It's a tea? What does it supposedly do? Does it come in a pill form (I hate tea LOL)?

mama-beans - December 10

Red raspberry LEAF tea.. I have never heard of it in a pill but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.. although I don't know if the benefits would be the same ( the leaf part is the important part.. it is a tea from the leafs, not raspberry flavored tea) It is a uterine toner, an all over uterine health tea.. good for TTC and for late in pregnancy.. not first or second trimester.

Oh my! My medicine cabinet is becoming full of all the stuff I'm using/taking. I'll have to see if GNC has it. Thanks mama-beans!

Megan - December 10

Tiffany, looks like mama-beans drank the raspberry tea every day till her HPT. Hope that helps!

Tiffany, what is your problem? She answered your question. There are alot of good wbsites with lists of herbal supplements to take before O and after O, I think babycenter was one of them. There are a lot of herbs that promote fertility. Don Quai, False Unicorn Root, Vitex., Red Rapsberry Leaf tea, the list goes on. Black Coohosh and Evening primrose oil are good before O only. EPO creates a good environmnet for the sperm. I would research all herbs before taking them to find out when to take them, dosage, and if they are right for you. All Are general fert_tily promoters. The only one that I have ever heard of a__sociated with twins is vitex, and that was through this board. Please TIffany if you would like information ask for it nicely. No one will want to halp you if you are insulting and rude. If you really are interested in this subject I hope this helps, and DONOT take these herbs (Especially vitex) once you start your clomid ,for your own safety. Also, I was drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea and taking Vitex, and EPO and I got a BFP today, so they worked!!

I just want to know if any of this herbal stuff has potential funny side effects. And are the doses the same for everyone? Any advise from those trying these methods would be great!
