I don't know my HcG levels - but will ask tomorrow.
The dr looked very closely at the empty sack and wants to see me again in 2 weeks... what are the odds that I DO have twins???

Oh yeah... a little more info... My mom has 3 sets of twins on her side... well, actually only 2. One set was born still. I think 2 sets were identical and 1 was frat.
That's on her father's side of the family...
Not that it matters - but my DH has frat twins on his side too.
I would REALLY appreciate any insight you can give.. just wondering what my odds are? I did not take any fertility drugs - but would LOVE to have twins.
I had an internal u/s and the doc saw 2 sacks it looks like they are merging together... but only one fetus and 1 heartbeat.
Now sure if it matters - but I'm only 4'8" so maybe they are just stuff and cramped in there and went missed???

It all depends on how far along you are. If you are 5 weeks, there is still a chance the one is a bit behind. If you are 7 weeks, it wouldn't look as promising. VTS (vanishing twin syndrome) is extremely common in the first trimester of multiples. In fact, they now believe about 1 in eight pregnancies start off as a multiple pregnancy but most end up as a singleton. I hope you hear good news at your appointment in 2 weeks. Also, as of right now, I don't think your height would be an issue if it were twins, especially on an u/s.
