im not sure... have alot of questions about this too!! am researching alot lately... i have twin 4 yr old boys HA! we were ALL busy that year! and my husband and I are trying for a girl! but did NOT know the chances of getting pregnant with twins again was like it was.... scarey! would love for anyone in my situation to keep in touch tufflovely@yahoo.com thanks yall! were trying now, i dont know what i would do with another set.... but want to try that bad! lol

Lisa~ I too was fortunate enough to have a set of twins 7yrs ago without the help of fertility drugs. No twins in my family either. But I thought you might enjoy knowing that as I write this email, I am holding my 20 month old little girl as her Twin brother sleeps!

I just want to let everyone know that only fraternal twins are genetic and identical twins are not. The reason I know this is because I have an identical twin sister and then had identical twins myself that are 13 months. I thought that was so cool.

My obstetrician told me the chances are 1 in 4 of having a second set of fraternal twins. After my boys, my sister-in-law lent me a book called "Choose the S_x of Your Baby" and we ended up with our singleton girl.

Hi Lisa, I wonder the same question. I had identical twins 20 months ago. They were born 3 months early and my eldest twin died early in life she weighted 910 grams born. I could not go through the pregnancy of twins again, knowing they would be born again premature.. Good Luck

Ca__sie- You always have a chance. I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I have 13 month old twins. I had a bad pregnancy, but I feel very blessed to have them.

That depends on if your first set is identical or fraternal. Women who have one set of fraternal twins are much more likely to have another set. Identical twins are random.

I am sooo glad that I stumbled upon these postings. I have two and a half year old fraternal twins (natural) and just found out today I am pregnant again. My OB/Gyn warned us with the last pregnany that our odds were 60% of having twins again in any subsequent pregnancies after having one set. I will nervously be waiting two weeks for my doctor visit to find out. It wouldn't be terrible, but I'd really rather have just one this time, I'm sure you can understand that!

HI LISA; WELL IF THEY ARE TWINS IDENTICAL THRES NOT THAT MUCH RISK BUT IF THEY ARE FATERNAL TWINS LIKE MINES THAT NOW THEY ARE 2 YEARS IS HIGH POSSIBILITY OF HAVING TWINS AGAIN OVER 10% MORE ON TOP OF IDENTICAL TWINS, IT'S KIND OF WEAR THING RIGHT, BUT IT'S NICE I REALLY WANTS TWINS AGAIN BUT NOT NOW JUST WAITING FOR COUPLE OF YEARS TO START ALL OVER AGAIN WITH DIAPERS, CAUSE THEY NOT THAT CHEAP. I'm an 21 and trying to get pregnant again. My first pregnancy 3 years ago this July started off as twins, but we lost one at 4 1/2 months along. They were frat twins. My surviving daughter is health with no problems to her at all.
