a friend of mine was 8 and a half months preg. and her urine and blood tests still showed up neg. it just depends on ur hcg levels in ur body.

I have always been on time. My period is 3 days late. Took 2 hpt on first day came back negative. Had experienced miscarriage in July so I am paranoid. That time I felt pregnant even my husband sensed something was up. Took a hpt one week it was negative next week positive and then I started to miscarry. I don't want to get my hopes up but it is hard to think that I am not pregnant. Boobs feel huge and have had heartburn frequently just like last time. Am trying to determine whether or not to try another hpt

when u had a miscarriage in july, did they tell u why? if u have a low hcg level, it puts u at high risk pregnancy. if u feel really paranoid, go to the doctor and ask for a blood test. if u still dont have a period next month, then i would go back and tell him whats going on and see if they can do a test to determine your hcg levels.

I had stopped the pill in May and then had a period in June than in late July is when I miscarried. I had no period after the one in June. Fortunately I have a doctor appt scheduled today so we'll see. I feel like I'm going crazy but I know something is up with my body.

Just got back from the doctor. I had a as the MA put it "way negative" test. Dr. said that if I don't get my period in a week to 10 days to try a home one or go back in for another test. Who knows what way negative means (it was a fill in MA) but I know that when you miscarry they want your hcg level at 0.

I took a hpt today and it came back positive! Have a follow up appointment on Saturday with doctor hopefully I don't miscarry again. I have to agree with we know our bodies best.

Thanks! Laurab - I was about 5 days late. It is hard because I knew I had to be because my body is like clockwork. I took 2 of them just to make sure. Both were positive.

I am 2 months late on my period taken 4 hpts and 1 blood test yesterday and gotten all neg. but am having all the symptoms and do believe I know my body is going through serious changes. Can i still be pregnant?

I have very similar issues. Was expecting AF on 2/22 and am now 9 days late. My husband and I just started trying--Am 30 yrs old--never missed a period--am like clockwork. Took several hpt's and all were negative. Have all the symptoms: some cramping as if getting AF, extreme fatigue, light headedness, nose bleed, some nausea, constipation,etc. I have no spotting or anything, just white discharge--normal as if right before my period...Was sure I was pregnant-- Went to dr for blood work on 3/1--came back negative on 3/2. Am so confused. Nurse told me to call back in a week if I still don't get AF-----Is there anyone out there with a second blood test that came out positive?

TO ANDRADUFF when you went to your doctor appt for the first time did he do a blood test or a HPT when you first got your MA WAY NEGATIVE>.......

luckymom they did a urine test. After my tests came back positive my primary care doctor used to be an ob/gyn said that their was no reason for a blood test. Now they might do one at my first ob/gyn appt thursday but I don't know. They might give you a blood test if you keep getting negative results.

hi! i had a not normal period for me back on dec17th it last about 2 days very light and not blood clots at all...i had been off bc since 10/28 i went to my dr. on dec 22 did a urnine and blood test both came back negative so i a__sumed i wasnt pregnant....then i took a hpt about 5 days before my next af and it was positive...i had my first ob appt. on 3/1 did an ultrasound and baby was 11w 4d at that point i am now 12w 3d so yes you can get a neg blood test...and after dr. office confirmed my pregnancy on 1/15 with urnine test i didnt have another blood test done....did take blood at my first ob appt tho just to do the normal work up! hope that helps and good luck!!!

I am nursing an eight month old. I have been having fairly normal cycles since about 2 2/1 months post partum. Last cycle was 30 days (unusual for me). We aren't ttc, but had intercourse on 2/14. I am 5 days late and am extremely exhausted, dizzy, irritable, and don't care about food as much as usual. I took a test for 20 mIU/ml and I could see a faint grey line. Then an Equate one (25mIU/ml) that barely showed anything. This morning I took Equate again and nothing. I can't tell if my b___bs hurt or if my milk is letting down. Anyone have this before?

Krissy I am wondering can a blood test be negative and you still can be pregnant.I am asking because my last period was January 2 and now it's been 2 months since my last one.I went to the doctor to take a urine test and it came back negative so I was told take a blood test,which I do on Monday.I am hoping yes(positive).Help me out.If the test come back negative do I still have a chance of being pregnant?
