what if while you are pregnant you get your period or blood, specially the first months?

i had alot of bleeding from 10 weeks until around 16 weeks (was worse than a normal period) doc said my placenta had torn a little and put me on bed rest ive had 6 ultra sounds to check the baby etc (last one was 2 days ago) im now 18 weeks and im having a healthy little boy ..but i think u should go see a doctor who can check every thing for u..hope all is ok
