Doctor Call From Results From A Blood Test

Well, my question is, if you get a blood test for determining if u are pregnant or not, and the doctor takes a week to call back. Is the result good or bad? And what were some of the possible news did everyone get when u got a call back from your doctor's secretary stating to call the doctor after getting the message.

it's hard to say really, my doc never gives test results over the phone, good or bad, however with me i had to go in to see him, turned out i was pg and he wanted to set me up with OBGYN to make sure i got one.Are you ttc, if he has bad news he may have suggestions for next cycle, it's hard to say what to expect. but i hope you the best and hope i didnt give you any discouraging info. good luck keep us posted

They should have called you either way....maybe the test results are backed up at the lab? Call them and inquire.

There's really no good reason for it to take more than a day. As a matter of fact, it only takes 30-45 minutes to perform the test itself once the lab begins. My doc writes stat on my tests, and he always calls me approximately an hour to an hour and a half later with the resutls. So your doc needs to be calling you. If you had it done early morning, you should have been called that afternoon, if you had it done in the afternoon, you should have been called the next day. Call and demand that he get the results to you now. good luck!

I always call them. The same day, in fact. They are too busy to keep anything straight.

WELL SHE CALLED ME THIS TUES. 2/15, AND I GOT IT DONE LAST TUES. AFTERNOON. SO I DONT KNOW Y SHE TAKING TIME BUT I MISSED THE CALL AND CALLED HER BACK BUT NOW SHE IS BUSYWITH OTHER PATIENTS. BUT IM STILL WAITING.

Same thing happened to me. I did my blood work and the doctor took 5 days to call me back and now wants to see me. I’m nervous- do you know what it could be for?
