I hear there are other alternatives like using accupuncture during labor instead. Also, do you think Extra Streanth Tylenol would aliviate the pain even alittle during labor? Isn't there anything else to take during Labor??

I heard that too. Don't know if Tylenol would work. If you find out this question, pls let me know, thanks.

This must be your first! I don't think Tylenol would do a single thing!! The good news is yes, there are other things they can do for pain. Naturally, you can try several different positions and there's even hypno-birthing. There are also other pain relievign drugs they can give you. You should discuss pain relief with your dr. BEFORE going into labour so that you can decide while ahead of time. Have you considered natural childbirth? There are ways of coping... whatever you chose will be right for you and good luck!

I agree with Kim. Don't bother with Tylenol. Find a Bradley Childbirth instructor in your area. They will teach you how to handle the pain well without any drugs. I used drugs with my first. They put me out so well, I don't remember holding him for the first time! The second time I didn't let that happen. I remember everything about my second birth. What a huge difference! I would never use drugs again. Even with the drugs, you go through pain. Without them, you have controll and memories. Do some research and figure out what will be the most helpful for you. Good luck and enjoy holding your baby, they grow up fast.
