Hello everyone! I am 29 and my hubby and I are trying to get pregnant. We started clomid last June and I got pregnant on the first round. We lost our baby at 12 weeks. It broke my heart. I started back on clomid in Jan. I am on 50mg days 5-9. I just started my 5th round and decided to go against my doctor and take it days 3-7. I finish my last pill tomorrow. I am hoping for a BFP!!!! Good luck and baby dust to everyone trying!!

BMummy this is SUCH rubbish! You're really not that big, so you could always try asking a different GP (are there any others in your practice? Could you try informally calling the reproductive consultant secretary to find out what their policy is? Because if it's just a case that your GP won't refer you, you could try registering at a different surgery. That said, I'm in the UK too... And I'm quite a lot bigger than you! (I was much bigger than you with both my pregnancies that resulted in my son and daughter.) This time around I am much MUCH bigger *LOL* and having a bit more trouble with regular ovulation. To give you an idea, my BMI is like 49 now. Still, my GP (when I asked) said they would run any and all tests they could do in the surgery, but if they didn't find anything that THEY could treat (meaning the GP) they would refer me to a consultant, but he did admit that the consultant was unlikely to do anything unless I was much much smaller. So online clomid it was for me!

Hi! Im new to this forum but i wanted to let everybody know how helpful all this information is. Me and my husband have been ttc for 2 years now. We had a miscarriage in April 2011 and we started our first round of clomid 50mg 3-7 in July 2011. I got for my first check on up on Monday (august 1--cd 21) but ive been having lower back cramps on my left side so im not real sure if that means im about to start my cycle again or what. I schedule to start my cycle on August 11th so im not real sure what the cramping is from. Im really hoping we get pregnant this first round. This can really take a toll on you. I would love some feedback on anybody that did conceive there first round on 50 mg. Again this information is really helpful and i love seeing all the success stories =]

hello ladies. I have been reading these for the past two months and figured it was time I jump in. History: I was diagnosed at 14 with pcos and told I would never conceive. I have horribly awful periods because of the pcos. They last 15-37 days and are super super heavy. 3 periods ago I was hospitalized for my period because it was so heavy they thought i was hemorrhaging. My husband and I started trying to get pregnant on christmas of 2008 and somehow were blessed enough to conceive our daughter on january 27, 2009. She is now 22 months old and we would like to give her a sibling. We tried for 6 months on our own and then my doctor agreed to put us on clomid. Last month I took clomid day 3-7 of my period. I am also on metformin. despite horrible cramping on day 16, my (what ever level) was only 1.7 when i went for my day 21 blood work. I read if you are pregnant it ranges from 20-40 in your first trimester. My doctor told me I had not ovulated at all :( so this month I have been upped to 100mg clomid along with my metformin. I am also trying the robitussin so hopefully this is our month. If we aren't pregnant by December then we are just going to be extremely happy with the one wonderful baby we were blessed with and I will be getting a full hysterectomy. My Dr. wanted to do it shortly after my daughter was born (when I was only 19, I am 21 now) but we wanted to try for one more.

Hi I am new on here too. Im on day 2 of 50mg clomid. I dont have a menstrual cycle, havent had one since march 2010. I was on the depo shot from ages 17-19 didnt have a period until I was 22 when I got on BC pills. I had to get off of them bc my dr said that was causing my gallstones and I had to be off of them before I had my surgery done. I never ended up pregnant. I am now 26 and have been to the gyn for so many steps before clomid. Ive had 2 ultrasounds that showed my uterus lining is too thin, had an HSG to inject dye in my tubes to open them up which theyhad problems doing bc my tubes were spasming (clenched shut) but it finally worked so my tubes are open and he made me wait 2 months to see him again to see if I could get pregnant but I didnt so I got 2 cycles of clomid to take and hopefully me and my husband will have a lil one really soon. Its sooooooooo confusing taking clomid especially if you dont have a period to plan it around and dont ovulate either. Best of luck to ALL

To GAPEACH--- How are they doing the clomid for you if you dont have a period at all? I didnt ovulate at all my first round of clomid, so my dr upped me to 100 mg. I took provera for 10 days to induce another period so that I could restart my clomid. I finished the provera 16 days ago and still no period :( I was really hoping it was caused by pregnancy but my hpt was negative. My doctor is just taking the "well lets just wait a few weeks and see what happens" approach and honestly "just waiting" is the most torturous thing when trying to conceive. So i may just take it into my own hands a little bit. Did your dr just tell you to start taking it when ever since you dont have a period? or how did that work? Thanks! and best of luck!

I just wanted to share my success story: I was diagnosed with PCOS in August of 2011. My fertility specialist immediately put me on Clomid (I did not need metformin because I did not have a glucose issue or diabetes). I had a positive ovulation test during my first month. I took a home pregnancy test on day 29 of my cycle and it was POSITIVE! First month on Clomid and I get pregnant! I am currently 7weeks 1 day today but it has been a bumpy road these last few weeks. I was being monitored pretty closely and had several HCG tests. The tests showed that my numbers were doubling but slower than every 2 days (it was doubling every 2.8 days to be exact). At 6 weeks 4 days I went in for my first ultrasound and was told that my baby was measuring small at only 6 weeks with a heartbeat of 112 BPM. My DR seemed concerned and since we knew the day we ovulated did not seem to think the pregnancy would be viable. We waited another week before going back in for another ultrasound. At the ultrasound(yesterday) we saw that the baby had grown perfectly in one week, so we are now 7 weeks 1 day and heard the heartbeat of 148BPM!! My DR said I must have ovulated later than the positive ovulation test which can happen with PCOS. We are even being referred back to my regular obgyn. Now, that doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet- but I feel relieved that one month of clomid worked! And to those worrying about their HCG levels, I am proof that just because they aren't doubling doesn't mean somethings wrong. Hoping the rest of our pregnancy will go smoothly and all of you get your baby dreams to come true!!

Hi all- I just found this forum and wanted to share my success story on taking Clomid days 3-7. I was diagnosed in 2009 with PCOS after coming off birth control and not having but 3 periods in a year. My husband and I starting TTC right after Birth Control. I did lots of research and praying and was prescribed 100 mg of Clomid and metfornin after almost one year of TTC. I also took Provera to start my period (took almost 2 weeks for it to work) I also took Robitussin 3 times to day to help with cervical mucus while on clomid...When I went in for my day 21 lab my # was only 5.5. The doctor was not super optimistic as I only showed very minimal signs of ovulation. I used ovulation kits as well and never got a positive ovulation result. I also tested negative on a preg test on day 28. On week 5 I was susposed to go in for HSG procedure and for kicks I took a preg test before and well it was Positive. I went in for blood work and sure enough I was preggo. My doctor even laughed considering it was my first round of clomid and I had very minimal signs of ovulation. God works in mysterious ways! Whether it was a fluke or not I now have the most adorable, HEALTHY 10 month little girl named Leighton. As far as my PCOS the symptoms have lessened..I b___stfed for 7 months and have now had about 4 regular periods. I pray for all trying to conceive!
