I got pregnant when I was 15 and had my son 15 day's befor my 16th birthday. It has been hard but I have done it, my son will be 3 years old on september 27th of this year. I do wish that I had wated to have a child but that's hoew things go. I love my son very much and would not trade him for the world! I would say that 15 is too yong but it is possible to be a good mom at 15. But you do have to grow up and give you're life to you're child.
If you cant do that I dont think you are ready to have a child at any age.

To Melissa... I totally disagree with you.. you must speak from lack of knowlegde on the situation..I was 15 when I had my son.. And he is on 6 years old and I am 21 years old..He is a very heathly lil boy and very smart.. And no it is not true that the man always leaves and such ... I have been with this lil boys father since I have been 13 years old..that is 8 years and he stood by me and helped through the entire ordeal and now we are getting married in August and expecting baby #2 in January 06/

Are you nuts! Please enjoy your teen years. Children will come when you are settled in your life. Get your education please. It's not as fun as it seems if you are really not ready. There are so, so many sacrifices. I got preg at 16 and gave my daughter up for adoption. It was a very painful experience but I could not have given her the things that I have given my children. I waited until I was 25, educated, and married to have my 2nd child. It was a heavy-hearted experience....but wonderful. Please wait!

ladies, if a woman is physically/socially/ and economically to have a baby, who cares how old she is? My mother was 15 when she gave birth to her first child, yes she was young, but she is an awesome mother. Why is it that Americans are so stigmatized about birth and motherhood. All of you are who need to reevaluate your reasons for being so judgemental. Im not saying 15 is not too young to have children, but people should not judge others based on their own standards. Everyone is ent_tled to their own values.

Of course 15 is too young. First of all you need to finish school. Find an intelligent man to marry. Get married, then you can think about having a baby! Use your brain a little. That would help!

Thankk God I was raised by parents who taught me to have self esteem, finish college, get a job, then get married, buy a house THEN starta family in my late 20's. What ever happened to good parenting. I feel sorry for someone who thinks they should have a child in their teens.

your not even legal to have a job, you shouldn't be thinking about kids now. Babies are cute but they get bigger fast.

I dont mean to sound rude here, but what if a 15 year old becomes pregnant, very unplanned ! Where will she stand then? she didnt ask for it, but she has to deal with it, what if she doesnt have the heart to abort it, or put it up for adoption, maybe she might just grow up and take responsibility, realise her life will be lived for her child and she no longer can live like a teenager? Is that wrong, irresponsible?

How does a 15 year old financially support a baby? Rely on their parents? Who will watch the baby when you are at school? I think it is a very selfish thing to deliberately become pregnant with a child that you can't fully care for. I am 27 and I would love to have a baby, I am happily married and very responsible but I am waiting until I can provide EVERYTHING that a baby needs, a child deserves that!!!

IMO, Ithink 15 is definately to young, i'm almost 23 and i still want to enjoy life. Babies are a wonderful blessing, but you should enjoy living your young life before having a baby. Second your still supposed to be in school, there is no way you can juggle studies and a baby. Plus you have to be able to support this baby financially..
