I think you should ask your Dr. first. Personally, I think you should let your body rest inbetween children.

I have baby fever so bad right now. My youngest just turned 1 yr. And we're going to ttc starting this summer; need a spring baby with the school year. I say go for it if you're ready.

If you want to continue b___st feeding I would not try for another one, because soon your body will want to start producing colostrum again. You will need to switch number 1 over to a bottle, I would wait until b___stfeeding is out of the way! I feel the same way I really want another but my little one is 8 months and she wont eat a bite of solid food ( picky! ) So that is just something to think about! Babies are more prone to get sick if not b___stfed! Try to look out for the first one first, their is plenty of time! And great things come to people that wait!

I nursed my babies into and through my subsequent pregnancies. No problems. It can be done. And you get to eat alot.

you don't have to wean just becasue you're pregnant. my mom had 7 babies, some only 12 months apart, and nursed every one of us. i know lots of moms who are currently nursing two babies. it's quite common. your family size and spacing are no ones business but your own. if your heathy, and ready for another then best wishes to you.

i have a 4 1/2 year old, a 5 week old today and i already want another one. i think as long as you know you can handle ask your doctor and if he gives you the ok, go for it.

I am already in the situation a bit unexpected. I have a 5 month old and am 7 weeks pregnant. MY DUE DATE AND MY DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY ARE THE SAME!! Coincidentally, my brother and I are also born in the same month 2 years apart.

Wow. Great to see this thread. I thought I was nuts! I am 7 mo. pregnant with #2, my daughter is almost 4, and my husband and I are seriously considering trying to get pregnant with #3 within a year of our baby's birth. I should also note that I thought all my friends were crazy when they had their second kids, and now I want three! I hadn't thought much about b___stfeeding, was looking more at the practicalities of having two in day care at the same time-$$$$!

I thought there was something wrong with me for thinking about the same thing. I always said I wanted four kids anf after the birth of my second i said no more but the truth is that I love being a mom and am having baby fever again. I have a 6, 4, and 1 year old and would love to begin trying for another. go for it.
