I'm having a hard time getting some needed things done, including eating. Any recommended carriers or backpacks? I'm especially interested in ones that are easy on the back and if any are made to where you can bf at the same time...wishful thinking? Lol. TIA

I have a Baby Bjorn Active Carrier. I like it, b/c it has lumbar support and is easy in the back. However, Ben's limit with it is 10-15 minutes tops. You can supposedly bf w/ it, but I have yet to try it.

I have a heart to heart sling. www.heart2heart.on.ca It is fantastic! I never leave my house without it! I can nurse, cook, eat, shop, play with my older child, do laundry and dishes with it on. What is great about slings is there are so many different positions you can put your child in. Laying, on hip with the sling holding baby not your hands for cooking/eating or my guys fav standing facing out to look at everything! Those are just a few. Now that my guys 5 months :-( he is getting heavy I bought a Snugli he can face in and out and when he can sit up it is a backpack carrier. I use the sling 85% of the time still though.

I am totally all about the sling, too. Mine is an infantino, but I suppose they're all about the same. I can nurse in it pretty easily and always bring it along. It makes a great nursing cover, although people like ot peek in at the baby, not knowing I'm nursing! I also get a lot of questions-is there a baby in there? and can she breathe? I always joke that it is just a "cool" 80's purse, since it is denim and looks like this sack purse I had back then. As for the breathing question, I can't stand it-no, she can't breathe...come on! I love it most fpr shopping, just stick a few essentials in there with baby and I'm hands and diaper bag free!

Thanks for the ideas. I can't wait to get one, whichever it might be.

I've tried a few. My favorite is The Over the Shoulder Baby Holder. Here's their site http://www.babyholder.com/ They are easier to adjust, have a deeper cradeling area, and lots more padding for your shoulder.
