Don't ignore pain while you are nursing. I went a day without nursing or pumping when my daughter was 3 weeks old. For the next few days I ignored it and thought I was just backed up. It got to the point when my husband came home from work one day and I was on the bed crying in pain as my daughter was crying in hunger!! I went to the hospital and had Mast_tis in both br___ts. The doctor told me that the infection was really bad and if I had waited another day, it would have gotten into my blood stream and killed me! My temp was 104.3!! Don't ignore any symptoms while nursing!! I wanted so badly to nurse but after that I was done..I couldn't nurse for a few days due to the pain..then I dried up...Better luck with the next one I guess..

What were your symptoms. Some days I think I have something wrong. I don't have a fever or feel sick. I just have pain here and there and my nipples are very tingly/itchy. I had cracked nipples up until last week. I have my appointment next week so I'm hoping to hold out till then.

I HAD HORRIBLE PAIN. MY BOOBS HAD RED SPOTS ON THEM THAT WERE HARD AND VERY HOT. IT GOT WORSE AS I WAITED...I WAITED ABOUT 3 DAYS BEFORE I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL I THINK..I COULDN'T NURSE MY DAUGHTER. HAVING HER WITHIN INCHES FO MY BOOBS HURT! I WAS DUMB FOR NOT GOING SOONER!.

Sometimes i think something is wrong too. I have pain here and there too.. But sometimes i wonder if it is just the milk filling up the b___st. it's just a tingling sensation that hurts a bit. and I keep leaking milk and wetting my bra, so i put towels in them when i'm home and it itches and tingles.. it's so annoying..

that sounds like "let down" ihad tingling and tons of leaking when I had "let down" itching could be a a couple different things..try using lasinoh on your nipples

I don't think it's mast_tis cause I've had these symptoms for awhile. I noticed my son always seems to have a white tounge so I'm starting to think maybe we have thrush. I go to my doctor for my 6 week check up on Tuesday so if nothing gets worse by then, I'll just mention my concerns. Thanks!
