Medela Pump Amp Avent Supplies

Has anyone used the Medela pump with the avent supplies? Does it work well? This is my first pregnancy and I am curious to know if I have to use all Medela supplies or if I can use others as well.

avent bottles (the openings) are too big to use with Medela pumps. the pump will come with bottles that fit though.

I use the Madela pump and then store my milk in Avent bottles. I just pump into the madela bottles and then pour it into the Avent bottles. I did this because the bags are way too expensive. Plus, I don't freeze my milk anyway.

I just used the cheap wal-mart bottles with the medela pump.
