I have nipple piercings and have taken them out because I would like to br___t feed. I'm about 5 weeks pregnant, but I would like to know if it is still okay to br___t feed, since i can't see the holes growing over.

It should be OK. Find the phone number for your local LaLeche League leader. She will know the answer for sure.

I have had my nipples pierced for 12 yrs and I have a 13 & 8 year old I left my piercings in until I delivered and then took them out for the duration of the b___stfeeding time . I cleaned and checked them regularly and after my baby started on formula I put them back no problem.(I would personally leave them in for awhile since your body tends to heal and regenerate quicker since you are pregnant.) God Bless u and congratulations

My nipples have been pierced for 4 years. When I found out I was pregnant my doctor said it is fine to leave them as long as i remove the jewelry during the act of feeding. I still took them out right away, i would hate for that to be a reason that i am not successful b___stfeeding. I took a few months for there to be a real difference but I think they are close to healed now.
