Does anyone know if it is necessary to pump after taking medication if the baby won't be nursing again for 8 hours? I had to take two Aleve and a Phenergan for a migraine, but I held out till my 2 month old went down for the night, and he will sleep for 8 hours. I have pumped during the night in the past to "get rid of the bad milk," but I'm reading now that the medication will leave my milk as it leaves my bloodstream. Anyone know about this and can give me advice? Thanks.

It should leave your system by that time. Another thing about meds and b___stmilk is that meds go into you in milligrams and come out of your b___stmilk in micrograms. I really wouldn't worry about it. (I have awful migraines too.) You can call a La Leche League leader and they can look up specific meds on their chart for you. If it isn't listed they will have the research department find out for you.
