Tattoos While Breastfeeding

I was just wondering if you can get a new tattoo while br___tfeeding? Any opinions would be helpful.thanks

Hey krystal, I would personally wait, only because of the strain of healing while nursing but it would mostly depend on the size and location of the tattoo. Also, you may want to ask your doc, he/she may know of something we've never heard of! Would love to hear how it all goes, what kind of tattoo are you getting?

I know you can't give blood with a new tatto, so i would just wait until after you wean...

the rule about not giving blood with a new tattoo, is due to people going out and getting home tattoos with used needles and stuff like that. if you are going to a reputable parlor that uses steralized needles (where they actually open the new needle in front of you) then you should be okay. still check with your doctor though.
