I just found out that I am pregnant for 3rd time since I had bad scar tissue when I delivered my second child my doctor told me not to risk it. I am 41 years old and my 2nd son is 4 years old. I do not know what to do I am very scared special with the age fact could someone give me advice what to do.

not much advice but i am in the same situation (i am 25 though) and my second c was so much scar tissue and when i was planning for #3 the doc told me it is a little more challanging to get through all the scar tissue but not impossible and that i would be fine! dont worry! you will be fine...good luck!

hi there, I have had 3 sections and have scar tissue as well. My dr says I have a "moderate" amount and when I consulted him about wanting a 4th baby he told me that there are risks involved but it is doable. The risks for a 3section and 4th section are the possibility of placenta accrete which is when the placenta attaches and grows into the uterine wall. It is fixable but sometimes is through having the uterus removed during the c-section. You are also at higher risk for placenta previa. I was told of these risks but was also told that people do have them and are generally fine. Try not to worry. I see a maternal Illness specialist for my pregancies because I have a history of preeclampsia and he is also well versed in surgery. I know sections do take longer to cut through dense adhesions and your risk of bleeding is higher but the dr's knowing this will take greater caution. If it would give you greater peace maybe you could ask to be referred to a High Risk dr. I really think all will go well though. try not to worry, Good Luck.
