4 C Sections

Hi all. I am 28 and have had 3 c sections with no complications. I am currently 11 weeks, and 4 days pregnant with baby 4. I am a little nervous, I called my old doctor and she said I had very little scar tissue, and never had any bleeding or infections. All of my kids are 5 years apart. I just wanted to talk to talk with people who have had more than 3 csections.

Hey there I am thinking of having a 4th c-section too, but im not pegnant yet with the 4th. I have also had 3 c-sections. Theres another forum on this site about 4 c sections or more, and there is alot of information there. The forums called 4 or more c/sections, you can try going on that forum..you'll find alot of information there! I did but, im going to ask the doctors what they think about me having a 4th c/section! How is your pregnancy going so far then? How are your older children? xxxxxx stay blessed

Thanks for responding. My girls are 14,9,and 5. I had my old doctor send the operative reports to the new one and they were all low transverse cuts which was great news. He even said I can have another after this baby. We shall see though.lol I am currently 15 weeks will be 16 on Wednesday. All is well.. Extremely well I may add. So I am really relieved and exited.

Hi Mum of 3, I am doing great. I just had my lab work done last week, and will go to the doctors on November 24th. I am so excited. Hopefully we will be able to find out the s_x of the baby. We are hoping for a boy. I read this website and this lady had 9 csections..just do a google search on cindy's 9 csections. Check it out! Low transverse cuts are the ones that are below the belly, the bikini cut. I had that on the outside and inside. So far so good, everything seems to be flowing along as it should. I feel pretty confident that everything will be fine. I did receive the "go ahead" from my doctor prior to getting pregnant. So I think your doing the right thing. Keep me posted..

Hi..Thats great to know everythings going well for you! I went to the GP's a few days ago..and i asked if its alright to have one more baby even though i had 3 sections..and she replied 'why not..who said you cant?' she also added that i could try for vbac but i said no. lol. So Yay! But she told me to come back so that she could look into my previous pregnancy files and tell me the risks. I hope the risks are not too bad. When is your baby due? I hope you get your wee boy..ive already got two naughty ones lol. So i hope i get my second girl this time! When i do get pregnant(i am only planning now!) Then i will be sure to let you know! I'll keep you posted..and please keep me posted! Take care....Bye!

Hi Mum of 3.. Yay.. I am so happy for you.... It really depends on how your last incisions were done. Have you had any problems with your other pregnancies? I was just so nervous because with my 9 year old, I had a cla__sical incision on the outside, but a veritcal on the uterus. So my doctor was very happy to see that. Also, I never had any issues with past pregnancies. I was relatively young when I had my first, so maybe my body could handle alot more then.lol But seriously, the scar tissue, and the incisions plays a huge part. Just pray for the best, and begin your journey to TTC, I hope it is not too long before your on here telling me that your expecting. As for me, our baby is due April 30th but since I had the 3 csections, I will be having him(praying for a boy) on April 23. We are so excited. I just got my test results back...You know the ones to see if the baby has any abnormalities. And everything was fine. Like I said so far so good.. I don't think God brought me this far to leave me.. I have faith everything will be ok. Please keep in touch. I have a doctors appointment on Nov. 24 hopefully he can tell me what we are having... Take care, and baby dust to you!

Hii there..I've kind of got bad news now :( My GP doctor called an OB doctor and they had a look at my profiles from previous and the OB doc's recommended a No for me not to have a fourth c section..But they still said it's up to me. I heard that the OB docs always say No! lol I'm kind of stuck now lol. They said that if i do get pregnant then they will monitor me very closely..I dont know what to do now. My GP doc. told me the risks that include uterine rapture. Thats great to know you're doing well! Lets hope you do have a baby boy! How are you feeling? Everything Okay so far? And can i just ask you one question please? Is it any different or hard to carry your fourth baby than your third or is it just the same? wow todays the 25th of november..That means you hopefully found out what you are having yesterday!!! I hope its a baby boy! *BABY BOY DUST TO YOU!!!* I'll keep you updated! Please keep me updated aswell! Hope everything is well for you and you get your wee boy! Bye xxxxxx Stay Blessed xx

Hi Hun.. I am so sorry to hear this, did they give you any reasons why not? I would ask them to be very descriptive with me. With my other doctors, I made sure I got the operative reports from 99, and 2004. With the one I had in 94, I knew I could have a VBAC, and I did but gave the baby up for adoption. So my only concern was the last 2. I was told that my uterus had little scarring. Do you have a high risk doctor in your area? My doctor fortunately enough for me specializes in this. My old doctor actually trained him, so I feel really good about this. Please seek a second opinion, and make sure they provide you with detailed answers as to why not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I went to my appt yesterday.. Everything was great.. Blood pressure was terrific, heard the babies heartbeat. I have gained a total of 18 pounds in 18 weeks. So I am doing pretty good. I NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES, with my pregnancies. This baby isn't harder carrying him wise, only with the sickness. I vomited alot with my girls, but with this baby I was just nauseaous which is ALOT worse. I am tired alot, now that I am in my second trimester. When in my first, I had alot of energy. Thats why I believe I am having a boy..lol My sister has 3 boys and 1 girl and an adopted daughter. When I told her all of the nausea I had and how I was dehydrated she quickly responded with YEP, thats a boy.. Finally...lol But we shall see.... I opted to not get the sonogram yesterday, because my insurance will only pay for 1 so if I do it now, and they can't tell me what I am having, then I will have to pay 250 for another. And with just getting the house, the baby coming, and our wedding.. We can wait..lol Please get a second opinion....How were your other pregnancies? Did you have any problems? I feel great, just tired.. But nothing serious.. The occa__sional back pain, but other then that.. I am feel wonderful. Well I am getting ready to get off from work.. Have a great Thanksgiving, and feel free to email me anytime...

Hii There! My GP asked the OB's and they recommended no but if i do get preggers then they will treat it normally but will monitor me more closely. I didn't have any problemas at all with the last 3 except the 2nd one was an emergency..but thats normal right? I really want another baby!!!! I will seek another opinion as you said so!! Thats really good to hear youre doing well!! Your symtoms do point to a boy..i should know because i had 2 boys! LOL. OMG!!! I Hope you have a boy! I'm moving houses soon, so maybe when i get a new doctor i can ask them and they might be able to say something else aswell. I'm going to ask them to refer me to a OB so they can check my uterus. Oooooh! You have a lot of excitement coming!! I hope it all goes well for you! Im happy theres this site because we know that we're not alone..we all have eachother right? DownbutnotOUT - December 8

Hi there! I have had 4 csections and all have been fine and dandy, my children are 7, 5, 3, and comming up 19 months. I was told after my 2nd NOT to have any more babies and that my csection scar didnt heal right and was too thin. Well I got preggers again, on BC mind you, and the dr actually commented onlong the lines of being able to see my baby having hair. Confused I asked if he had already cut into me because I didnt feel the pulling and the removal and he said "No, I can see right threw your uterus". He told me I couldn't have a 4th and I wouldnt be able to carry past 28 weeks. Well I got pregnant and lost that baby and decided to go for the last one and it was touch and go, I had several issues with not only my uterine scar but my uterus itself being too thin. Well anyway I had a very happy and healthy baby boy and I didnt need a hysterectomy, I got luck, but I have now taken steps where I cannot have any more children because I know 5 would definatly do my poor uterus in.

I should mention baby #4 was born 11 days early and was 7 ibs 12.5 ounces and was 20 inches long.

DelroyandDevita - December 9

Hi Mum of 3. I had my sonogram on Monday, and IT'S A BOY! We are so very happy. I am actually a little over 5 months, unlike where I thought I still had alot of time left until the baby is born. My due date is offically April 22, 2009 but my doctor will take the baby 2 weeks early. So it looks like my Prince will be here April 8th. We are so happy. Everything looks really good. My cervix is good, the placenta is in its right place, the umbilical cord is good, and the baby is great. He is very active. All limbs are there. I am truly blessed. Have you scheduled for another opinion yet?

LadybirdK - January 31

Hello, I am new on here so am not too sure that I am posting this in the right place. I have had 3 C Sections, first emergency and the 2nd planned due to the rough time i had with the labour on the 1st. I was taken in with pain 12 days early for the 2nd and had my section then. The consultant that did the section came to me afterwards and said that my uterus wall was translucent and that i had scar dehisence and that i should definately not have any more children...A while after i saw my own consultant and he said that the surgeon was being over cautious and it would be fine to have more. He said i would be closely monitored and scheduled in for a section at 37 weeks. The main thing was to not go into labour...I went into labour at 33 wekks and had my section then..my daughter weighed 4lb 8ozs... She is absolutely fine now....No one mentioned to me after the 3rd that there was anything wrong with the scar or uterus wall so i a__sume this was all ok this time...I now really would like another baby, my three are now 13, 7 and 5 and i would really like some advice or opinions from you, Thank you
