Yes my question is when do they remove your staple's?And has anyone had a C-section then have a va___al delivery?

Hi I had a planned c-section because of a fibroid. They removed my staples 4 days later, right before I went home. I was expecting a lot of pain but it didn't hurt at all. I was feeling pretty much back to normal after 2 weeks. Feel free to ask me any other questions! My little guy is now almost 6 weeks old.

krnj... i'm also having a planned c-section and am hoping my experiance is like yours, some of the other stories on here make me nervous. do you feel your was easier because it was planned and not emergency? And how long did you bleed afterwards?

I didn't have staples. I had those st_tches that go away by themselves. I have opted for a c-section again this time for several reasons, but reasons that concern my health as well as the baby's. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the anesthesia because it was easier to overlook the pain of the needle when the labor pains were much worse. Without the pains, I'll have nothing to do but focus on the needle. I didn't see the bleeding afterward as much different than the bleeding after my v____al delivery. The only thing that was much easier was using the bathroom. No burning!

VJR,my first C-section was not planned I went in to get induced, and my labor stalled so there for had to have a c-section.My DR. say's this time should go better since my body wont be under stress from labor.

VJR,sorrry forgot your other question about the bleeding,I would say about 1to 2 weeks and it was not very heavy. good luck!!!!!

dchavarria thank you! Ducky were you cut under your bikini line or down the middle of your stomach? Does anyone know can you request stiches verses staples and which one is better??

Dchavarria - April 20

VJR,I know I was cut under the bikini line. And I should would like to know the same as you about if you can ask for stiches v's staples. And I would think stiches,I had staples and it was the worse thing I ever felt I kept thinking they were going to open.Hope I dont scare you but I'm scared my self lol....goodluck

I had 34staples and I got them out on day 5 just before I went home. Just to gross you out I still have them in a 'Ziplock' bag (my son thinks it cool). The incision opened a little on day 14 and I had to go to the hospital. It was not a biggy but it was a little scary. My understanding is that staples are 'quicker' for the doctor to do. Quicker is not necessarily better I would say. Oh and mine was bikini line too.
