My baby is now 7 months old, but my abdomen is still painful. Is this normal? I would like to start sit-ups to try & tighten that area, but they are too painful to do. Any ideas?

I would talk to my OB. I don't think it's normal to still be in pain, you should be back to normal by now.

My son is 9 months old and I had to have him by emergency c-section and I still to this day have a tingle if I lay on my stomach. I find it kind of weird. I asked my family doctor and she said as long as I was not in pain but that the tingle is okay. More than that and I would worry.

The pain will subside, but my last c-section was almost 6 years ago and it is still uncomfortable when anything touches the incision scar. I go in for c-sect #3 in 3 weeks - here I go again!

Most people I know say they may have an occa__sional st_tch of pain, but constant pain that long after a c-section isn't normal. I am having the same problem and I have been through everything trying to get it diagnosed. I saw a surgeon yesterday and he says that incisional hernias cannot always be confirmed by physical examination or ct scan and only a laproscopy will show it.

How soon can I get pregnant after having a c-section?
