Dr Said Uterus Was Thin But No Too Thin

I've had 2 c-sections total and we are wanting at least 2 more. My concern is that my dr. said i had some thinning of my uterus and scar tissue. I asked him were each more than normal and he said a little bit but not enough that he would tell me not to have another baby. I was just wondering if any of your doctors have said something similiar. And each time I have a section will thinning get worse?

Hi there. I was told pretty much the same thing after my second and went on to have a total of 4. the higher risk is actually placenta accreta. thats where the placenta attaches near one of your scars and grows thru to your organs, into bowel or bladder. I had 4 sections and none were a problem at all. But I did however get my tubes done after the last one, as I didn't want to push it too far and my dr only said 4 was a good idea. Good luck!

Hiya mommyhood I want to tell you my story :) I had my first csection after 33 hours of labour and I got pregnant and had my 2nd by csection about 20 months later. When I had my 2nd my dr told me my uterus were the incision was wasvery thin about 2mm he said, enough were he recommended I didnt have anymore children because I could rupture. Well the same dr delivered my 3rd child about 20 1/2 months later and i remember him saying somethng along the lines as " Wow your baby has alot of hair", or "I can see your babies hair." I remember questioning if "the baby was out" because I never felt the normal csection stuff and he said " No I can see right threw your uterus." My dr could see all her hair and the amniotic fluid while she was still in my tummy! Sure enough my daughter was born with alot of hair and I was told by him if I had another baby I would rupture and there was NO way I could carry past 28 weeks. While after many problems and several trips to the hospital I had #4 about 26 months later. I should add at my last u/s they determined my scar was about 3-4 mm thick (so it got a little better after my 3rd where they guessed it as less than 2 mm) but my actuall uterus from my belly b___ton down to my pelvis and the length of my csection scar was 2mm making my situation alot more dangerous. Instead of a csection scar rupture I would have a uterine rupture, which scared me to death. I am lucky all my children are doing very well but I am definatly not willing to go another round because of the uterus and I had a fimbrectomy. make the best ddecision with all the info you get from your dr as if something happens to you you have to remember what you are leaving behind.
