Exercising After A C Section

I had a C-Section in 2004. I joined a gym and everytime I do abdominal workouts, I not only have some soreness where it pulls on my incision but I will spot for a couple of days. My other children were all va___al births and I never encountered this problem. Has anybody encountered this problem before and if you have, is this something that goes away as your body gets used to the workout?

You may have scar tissue or adhesions that have attached to your muscles, best talk to your doctor. Many people don't know that adhesions can continue to form for many months or years after a cesarean, and if something is irritated from the initial surgical healing it can exponentially create more scarring. I don't know that that is what is happening in your case, but a doctor could give you better answers. There are other reasons for spotting too, like an infection that lingers, or something like that.
