I think its the same as the first c-section. They say Insurance won't pay if its under 6 weeks. I think I drove after about 4 weeks with my first. I am pregnant again and I think the same will apply again. Good luck!

I've heard two different things. First, I heard you shouldn't drive because if you had to slam on the brakes you could tear your incision open. I have no idea if that's true. The other thing I've heard, which makes more sense, is that you can't drive while you're on painkillers. You can get a ticket for driving under the influence, same as if you were drunk.

It is about the painkillers, as you can get a DUI ticket if you are pulled over. If you injur or kill someone while under the influence, many insurance companies will not cover you. Oh, you go to jail as well. So, once you are off of the painkillers, you can drive again.

It is perfectly safe to drive when you no longer are on prescription pain meds and feel up to it. Insurance has nothing to do with it. I have had 2 c-sections. I was driving 2 week after the first one and within the week after the second one. As long as you are comfortable with turning you body around and are not on pres. pain meds, it should be fine. My doctor even says it is perfectly safe after 2 weeks.
