Incision Draining Gunk

So, I had a c-section exactly a week ago. They didnt take out my staples at the hospital, but told me to follow up with my OB and he would take them out today. So, I went there today and he was totally p___sed that they hadnt taken them out in the hospital, and just as of this morning around allt he staples was getting all red and irritated (he said probably because they werent removed on time), so he said "okay this might drain a bit of stuff in this one area" and started me on a round of antibiotics just to make sure that I wasnt getting an infection. Anyway, I got home from the dr about 2 hours ago, and just now when I sat down it started GUSHING stuff - soaked through my underwear and pants, so I put a gauze pad over it just to absorb some of it, and it soaked through that in about 10 mins. It seems to have slowed down a little now but its still doing more than 'draining a little'. Is it worth a call back to the doc or shoudl I just take it easy and wait it out and see what happens? Did anyone else's incision do anything similar?

I would call your dr. I think a little draining might be normal...with possible infection..but gushing sounds like quite a bit to me. With my first c-section, I was running up and down the stairs, and busted my incision open a bit, and I just had a tiny bit of fluid. I put some peroxide on it to help...dr reccomended. Anyway, yeah I would call. It will at least ease your mind even if he says it's fine...or you will know if you need to go in. Good luck.

Is it a orange color? If it is my Dr said that was normal. Mine did not gush though. But it did soak threw my underwear. My staples were taken out 5 days after my section.

with all 3 of my csections NEVER did I get the staples removed in the hospital and had them taken out at around 5 days aftrewards, I also had some stables fall out on there own a couple of times. I would say go to the ER if you are having gushing fluid comming out I always had leakage but nothing gushing it sounds like a bad sign. I could be wrong but I would definatly get it checked out ASAP.
