My EDD is on Mar 3 but the dr has sked me for Feb 21. My blood tests show that I have both low red & white cells and have since been put on iron supplements in time for the operation. Has anybody been given blood transfusion during their cs because of a similar problem on their blood tests>

No, I wouldn't worry about the blood transfusion....I actually have very low hemoglobin levels....they put me on 2 extra iron suuplements a day...it's a little disease called thallasemia (sorta like sickled cell anemia but mediterannean, italian, greeks, and asians)...I'm jsut a carrier, but doctors used to think I was soooo anemic and couldn't figure out why iron never helped....I had a c sec and everything was fine 8 years ago....I will have another in 8 more weeks!! Just take your iron...and don't sweat it!!
