Im not sure about that I was always prescribed tylenol 3's with coedine and given a 10 day supply. I would call your dr and ask :)

You can take it as long as you actually feel pain. But the abdominal pain should subside after a few days. I wasn't given any pain medication after they released me from the hospital.
