In about a month I'll be having my second c-section. To those of you who have had multiple c-sections: do you have a scar for each c-section or were your 2nd, (3rd or 4th) c-sections performed through the original scar each subsequent c-section?

hi perl...i will also have my second c section in about a month (8/22/08). what they do is go through the orniginal inscision, and remove the old scar and scar tissue, then after the baby comes out, they sew you up pretty! when is your section?

Hi Leslie: I was looking for you and asking about you and your pregnancy over on another thread. How have you and baby been? My second c section will be on 8/19/08. That's what I thought about the incisions but my ob/gyn (a different one from last time) thinks my first scar is too low and wants to go about 1/4 inch higher to prevent any damage to my bladder. If the first ob/gyn did it I think he should too but I guess if he's worried about damaging my bladder then I should be too. I just don't want two separate scars. The first one was so clean and practically invisible.

hi perl! that is reallyu sweet that you were asking about me, makes me feel good. i am ok...done being pregnant....tired and uncomfortable and emotional. excited that its the last 4 weeks. anyway, if your dr. thinks your bladder is at risk, its probably for good reason. luckily our scars are down low. and you know, it may go quicker as there wont be scar tissue to but through! :)
