A friend of mine has had a classic C- section and is already pregnant again 10 months after her first c- section. Has anyone here had a successful VBAC in that short of a time period or have your doctors even allowed you to consider it? We live here in Croatia. Doctors here are many times reluctent to allow VBACs at all- if they allow them there has to be at least 2 - 2 1/2 years between babies. In her instance because of the short time period after her first c- section, they are not even willing to consider it. The even automaticaly tie your tubes here after the 3rd c- section!

Most hospitals and doctors now days refuse to do V-bacs. There are a few that will let you try if you sign a huge stack of papers acknowleding that you are aware of the risks. GL!

Hello Bducic! I had a successfull VBAC at just 11 months after my first c-section. My doctor even tried to explain why in her oppinion VBAC was a better choice in my case. However in the past , prior to my c-section,I had had a couple of successful v____al deliveries and the reason of my c-section wasn't something to repeat. First of all your friend should check with her doctor if she is a good candidate for a VBAC and try to read as much as possible about trial of labour.Secondly she should be able to read all her medical history recorded during her first pregnancy, labour and delivery. According to my knowledge cla__sic c-sections might give a slightly higher risk of uterine rupture. What was the reason of her c-section? Anyway I wish her lots of good luck
