I am having a c-section next week and just curious if anyone can tell me some things to bring to the hospital that will make my stay better. I asked my doctor for a list or something and they don't have anything. Should I bring clothes for me and the baby? I don't really know what to expect as I delivered va___ally last time and was only there a day. Any suggestions would be great!!! Thanks!

Hey there! Congrats. I had an emergency section with my daughter. I found that I needed a few things. Loose fitting cloths, hair brush, tooth brush, deoderant, flip flops for the shower (ick), deodorant...stuff like that. I also had some of my fav. snacks on hand for nursing. hope that helps and good luck!

The only clothes I would bring are loose fitting ones to go home in. I stayed in a hospital gown all 3 days I was there, and make sure your undies on the way home are not bikini cut because otherwise they lie right on the incision. I remained in the hospital gown because the nurses come in to check your post partum flow and your incision site. The normal sanitary stuff (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash, etc.). I also didn't get the ok to shower until 2 days after my c-section, so you may want to bring body cleansing wipes for someone to wipe you down with just to make you feel better. And more than anything, bring patience. :) Getting out of bed and moving the following day was slow going for me, but it's so important to get up and move as soon as the doc says it's ok to do so. You will recover a lot faster if you do.

Hi there, I have just packed for my 4th c-section. Big comfy, non bikini underwear and plenty of them (bleeding etc), b___stfeeding compatible nighties, robe and sli[ppers, maxi pads, nursing bras, maternity clothes to wear home as your stomach will be sore, then all the standard tolietries, shampoo etc. then lots of sleepers for baby, diapers, diaper cream, b___stpads, recieiving blankets, car seat. Oh ya, and YOUR OWN comfy pillow from home so you are comfortable. I also bring a case of water bottles so I can easily have a drink of water when I want it. I also bring my cell and its charger cuz hospital lines often shut down at 9pm. Good luck!!

comfortable clothes for your ride home. I had to wear hospital clothes during my stay. The only time I needed clothes for my daughter was during pictures and to bring her home. Make sue you bring hygiene stuff. You will want to take a shower. You will need flip flops for the shower. Yes and snacks are a great idea anyway hospital food is awful.

For the underware go to Target or Wal mart and buy them in a pack. They are cheaper that way, also make sure they ae a few sizes bigger than what you wore before you were pregnant and even though you won't really care about them try and get colored oned b/c they will get stained and it looks so bad on white. Also the hospital i was at had a dvd player and my dh and i actully watched a few.

Bed-Pal maternity straps, just google and it should come up---This is a must have! It's new this year, but it can be used on your hospital bed and after you come home. This helped me out so much even towards the end of my pregnancy. Yoga pants are great too for something easy around your wasteline (and you can still wear clothes.) Try Gap for these. Best wishes.
