This second c-sec went WAAAAAY better than the first and I feel great! The baby will be three weeks old tomorrow and my Dr's office says I can't drive for at least four weeks. It's Christmas time and there's a lot to do... not to mention that I just need to get out of the house... when were you able to drive?

my doc told me 2 weeks, and to not frive while under the pain meds, of course. I did drive at that point and I was fine-hardly any pain and I wasn't on the meds, so I think if you have your wits about you, you should be fine. Just becareflu that you're not liftin packages and what not all day-it can cause pain to the scar.

Even with tremendously painful c-section recoveries, I was able to go without pain meds when I had to go to the store myself. I had 4 in four years and just plain needed to drive. So after a week or so I could let the pain meds wear off long enough to run to the grocery store. If I needed to do more than a few minutes I found I needed somone else to drive because halfway throught the shopping trip my abdomen would become very achy and sore and I would suddenly feel very tired, that way I could take a pain med so I wasn't a mess when I got home and had to chase the pain. By one month or so I could do the whole think by myself.
