hi, i have had 3 sections, my last one being july 03. I didn't have any problem having them, but recently I have noticed that the area below my belly button and spreading out to both sides doesn't have much feeling it it. Almost like a still frozen feeeling. That same area also feels "harder." Not really hard like a giant hard lump but an area the width of your hand. My last 2 sections scars were bikini style but my first being an emergency was vertical. This area is to the sides of my belly button and below it. Could this be scar tissue I'm feeling. I was up in the night worrying thinking I have some kind of mass or fibroid. When i fveel around, it is not a definative shape and I can't tell where it starts or stops just like a genereal numby, harder thicker area. Has anyone else experienced this even 3 years post sectio n? My yearly physical isn't scheduled till June 20th

I had a cs in March 1998. I still have some numbness or 'still frozen' in that area. I have a hard area about the width of my finger on either side of the incision. I would say if you didnt notice before that it may be something to see the dr about before June, even if its nothing. I will check back in a couple days to see if it was anything. Good Luck

I've had 2 c/s and I also have the frozen/numb area. I too think it feels harder in certain areas closer to the scar. I don't think it 's anything to worry about. I think it can be scar tissue or the muscles that were cut through. Once in awhile mine will still ache too. Let me know if you find out anything more.

I also have that same frozen feeling near my scar. It feels gross if accidently touched. I have had 3 c-sections also. I asked my dr about that, cause I felt like that after my first one, and he said it's completely normal. I have had my 1 year appt...and everything has healed great.

I have that numb feeling in part of my stomach (none of my tummy is even remotely firm or hard :-) so I don't know what that could be). The numbness comes from cut nerves during the surgery. It's not harmful...good thing we don't cook with our bellies, or we'd all be burning ourselves, right?
