Has anyone tried the abdominal support/girdles post-op and if so do they help if you have a stomach that hangs down?

I had my c-section in Dec. the hospital gave me a support thing. It was like an ace wrap for my tummy but you can buy them too. It helped give some extra support.

I wore control panties after my second c-section. I healed twice as fast as I did after my first c-section. They weren't specially designed to be worn after surgery...just the $3 va__sarette brand from walmart (you may be kind of messy for a couple of weeks, having lots of underwear is really helpful). The other thing that really helps if you have a tummy overhang is to fold a maxi-pad and stick the absorbant side against the incision to keep it dry.

I have girdle..I'm not sure the name but I got it for $40 at the As seen on T.V store it helps alot..it fools everyone too..I get alot of comments from people saying how good I look after just having a baby..what they don't know :) I wouldn't use it too soon after the c/s though as you are sore and you want the incision to heal well but when you are ready it does help alot
