I´m having my first baby and will be having a c-section next month. I guess I just wanted any advise on do´s n don´ts. Did I mention my hubby and I live in Mexico and will be having the baby here..

There aren't any do's and don'ts prior to the procedure but after maybe. First I would like to say congratulations to you and your hubby on your first child =) As a nurse, I would say to be sure they put some anti-embolism stockings on you after the procedure. They help prevent clots in your legs (this is very important!) Get plenty of rest. No s_x for 6wks =( No bathing (in a bath tub). To cough, sneeze, get up etc, it will be helpful to keep a pillow pressed firmly against the abdomen to prevent stress on the incision. Wear an abdominal binder for good medical reason and it also helps your stomach heal more "flat" =). I'm sure that they will repeat a lot of these same things to you but I hope this helps. Mind you I had a c-section myself so I'm also speaking from experience. Good Luck to you babe.
