Get alot of family and friends lined up to help. Do what ever you can now and have a plan for people to sit with you for atleast a week. This is the only way I made it through. I have a 5 and 7 year old son, and now the new baby.

Lori... I am 9 weeks away from my due date and I have been teaching my almost 3 year old that she has to climb into the car... I hold her hand and help her but do not lift her... she thinks it is fun to be helping mpmmy out! :)

I have a 4 week old and a daughter that turns 3 in November....It has been much easier than I expected....Do not fret, just know that this has to be done. I just kept moving, and after 5 days, people did not believe I had a c section because I was so mobile, and pain free...I say it is because I kept moving and did not feel sorry for myself because I had a major operation...My daughter is quite the little mommy's helper, trying to a__sist with everything...I love this life and would not want anything else....Remember keep moving so you dont get stiff....I dont even feel as if I have had a secion.

I had a section with my second, my first was 21/2 at the time. My mom helped out the first few days I was home, a big help. I was told not to lift my older child, but I don't think that was realistic. I picked her up when I had to and was none the worse for wear for it. A good dose of Motrin or a stonger pain killer also helps!
